Not for me thanks.
Support and friendship for those whose lives have been affected by estrangement.
Good Morning Wednesday 27th May 2026
The importance of grandparents - we could have told them this!
Love this programme, Gary Goldsmith has just gone in should be interesting.
Not for me thanks.
I started this thread with the hope of getting a friendly, exchange of views and polite disagreement fir people who watch Big Brother.
Just because you don't like it DrWatson there is no need to type that people who watch it need phyciatric help, maybe you do as you are so angry about what other people watch.
Also I don't need a library for books thanks, I am a avid reader who uses a kindle I don't want loads of books all over the place as I detest clutter.
You have been quite insulting to people who watch it not to mention rude. I have no problem with posters who wrote no thankyou or not for me, but your post was insulting.
Please can the thread be for people who enjoy Big Brother because there are so many threads for people who don't like it to post on.
Thanks SO much for your input DrWatson! Sour grapes perhaps? I like to think you applied and were turned down
And thanks for the pointers about the editing and voting too - I hadn't guessed
I thought the thread was for any and all comments about the programme. As it happens I entirely agree with DrWatson. Nice to be considered to have a superior intellect, eh, Dr?
DrWatson
For Doodle, and any other 'cool people' (what???!!!), having seen tiny snippets of various BBs and that Jungle twaddle over quite a few years, ANYONE watching this unmitigated tripe for more than a few seconds while changing channels should seek urgent psychiatric help!
There was a time, back in the day, when the term 'Celebrity' meant something. Now, it could be a minor TV presenter, a minor soap actor, or some pumped-up ninny who has covered themselves in shoe polish to get their Warhol 15 minutes of 'fame' on some other moving wallpaper like 'Love Island'.
I know someone who is distantly connected to someone helping make such shows. I gather they are heavily edited before showtime, to manipulate (& womanipulate?) any viewers daft enough to be watching, and anyone who thinks the voting is on the level should check the windows for pink animals flying by.
There are libraries full of books out there . . . .
How bloody rude!!
Just take your “ superior intellect” 🙄and jog on..
Doodledog
I don't want to be confrontational, but can someone tell me why so many people are posting on this thread to tell us that watching is beneath them? What is the point? I keep seeing that there is a new post on the thread and go to read it, only to find that yet again it is someone belittling the show, the genre and the viewers, whilst simultaneously saying that they never watch it.
Nobody cares if you don't watch it. But this thread is for those who do. Why kill the vibe for those of us who enjoy it? What do you get out of it? As a people-watcher, I'm genuinely interested to know.
Agreed - it's really quite odd behaviour, why on earth can't the naysayers just stay off the thread and...as my late mum would say "it takes many different flowers to make a beautiful garden".

I suspect BigBrother will have ended long before any psychiatric help is available.
Never mind, DrWatson I’m sure Doodledog will be OK.

I don't really like any of them. The singer and trouser less man are a nightmare. Haven't heard of the rest except for Nikita the dancer who seems to be the only nice one there. I love to watch people interact and for this reason, enjoy the programme.

Well, it takes hours to watch the programme, and life is short, so I'm kind of hoping you can provide an entertaining daily digest here, @Doodledog
Never watched it.
Doodledog
What did you make of Uncle Gary’s comments about the RF, Sarahcyn?
You'll have to enlighten me...I'm not watching tbh!
Newsflash…this thread is a place for those of us who enjoy watching the programme to maybe dip in for a chat. It’s on the TV forum and if I saw Gransnetters chatting about another programme that didn’t interest me I’d scroll on by and leave them to enjoy it. It wouldn’t even occur to me to post to say how much I hate it 🙄
Absolute total rubbish!!
Not my thing reality shows...😴. Never watched it or I'm a Celeb but if that's you're thing...watch it...
I watched the first one with them going in.
I only know Sharon, Louis and Fern and the chap from Corrie.
I must be getting old or they're scraping the barrel. Haven't a clue all the others are.
I've given it a miss.
I am watching but it clashes with Married at First Sight Australia which I enjoy much more, so I record Big Brother and zoom over the boring bits
Sharon Osborne previously said she had been having the weight loss injections but they had gone too far and she was struggling to put any weight back on. Being so thin really doesn't suit her
Doodledog you got it in one! Such fun to imagine them being exposed
What did you make of Uncle Gary’s comments about the RF, Sarahcyn?
Just what the Princess of Wales needs in her life while she's recovering from major abdominal surgery....not.
Ah yes - the fantasies about being able to vote out the annoying know all, the milk thief and the gossip
. It would have made life so much more fun, wouldn’t it?
I enjoy the "celebrity" shows but, these days, not the others.
I too am fascinated to see the interactions between people from different walks of life. When I was working, I used to imagine all of us school staff taking part together and I used to try to predict what the outcome might be! I know for a fact it would have been dynamite but I eventually "got a life"

Exactly. Well said. Let those of us who like it enjoy it in peace.
I find it fascinating, seeing how people interact. It doesn’t take long before they seem to forget about the cameras and their real selves emerge. Then it is interesting to see how they match up to their public image. Sometimes people can be really surprising. For example, I remember in a series ages ago finding Carol Thatcher (daughter of PM Margaret) very likeable. I think she won it that year. Others can be awful. In the jungle programme Nigel Havers, who I’d always liked, was very bad-tempered and petulant.
Babamaman
No no and no? Overpaid narcissists! Why !
I totally agree with you Doodledog do people feel they have a higher moral compass by not watching it and telling people like us who like it they don't watch it. This is a thread for people who do like it, who want to discuss it in a light hearted friendly way.
My daughter is on a forum of friends who have known each other since school, they are now proffesional women, my daughter is a journalist, others are in different proffesions, most are Mothers. They love big brother, and have another forum to discuss this. These woman have enough stress in their life and this is something they like and discuss. Not everything has to be serious.
