Love this programme, Gary Goldsmith has just gone in should be interesting.

Louie is trying to come across as a nice guy agreeing with everyone and fawning over them all. But I think he’s already shown his true colours with the bed incident.

I think Fern will be good at asking the right questions during chats.

Well….I wasn’t going to but….

Here I am😂🤣

nanaK54 Tue 05-Mar-24 22:22:55

I'm here!
I really didn't like Louis and the bed business - how rude.
Oh my word, Levi has eight children with seven different women?
Ekin-Su seems to be a bit of a 'suck-up' with Sharon and Louis, perhaps she just likes them or perhaps she thinks they may be useful for her career progression, who knows.

Caught up with last night on ITVX, didn’t realise Sharon was as tiny…rather like her and Louis, thought they were funny commenting when they had to decide the 3 for the vote. They picked the right 3 imo. Also like Fern and Levi.

It's early days, but I think it's shaping up well. sometimes they bring new people in half way through, too.

Me too grin
Although I only watched about thirty minutes.
I was shocked at Sharon Osborne’s appearance.
I didn’t know who a few of them were.
Craig (well he’s called Craig in Corrie, not sure of his real name yet) seemed to be as nice and unassuming as his character in Corrie.

Like watching paint dry.

Doodledog Tue 05-Mar-24 23:45:36

I’ve never watched paint dry, but if I found a TV show boring I would just switch over or off. I wouldn’t bother posting online to tell those who are enjoying it though. Life’s too short.

Sharon Osborne’s appearance tells me she’s had one too many plastic surgeries, but she does seem a nice lady.

Never watched paint dry so cannot compare. Do you watch it Louie? If not why come on and comment like that, there are those of us that enjoy it and want somewhere to enjoy a discussion.

I feel a bit sad for Shaton Osbourne which is probably ridiculous. I suspect her life despite her wealth has been a hard one.

shysal Wed 06-Mar-24 09:43:57

I saw Sharon on daytime TV recently, saying that she has been ill recently and unable to regain the weight she lost, hence the rather gaunt look.

Doodledog Wed 06-Mar-24 10:28:07

I know what you mean, Galaxy. She likes to seem tough as old boots but there is a vulnerability about her. Her husband can’t have been easy to be married to, and I think both of her children have had problems that would be very worrying. Is there a third child (ie one who is not Jack or Kelly) who stays out of the limelight, or am I confusing them with the Geldofs?

rafichagran Wed 06-Mar-24 10:48:23

No Doodledog you are not. Amy Osborne does not seem to be in the lime light.
I have Jeremy Vine on today and they were talking big brother, and Jeremy seemed to want Uncle Gary to stay. They feel Big Brother will try to do something so he stays, as previously all the bad, mad, and interesting ones were voted out first.

That shepherds pie looked awful.

HeavenLeigh Wed 06-Mar-24 11:16:23

Not a fan of Louie Walsh very two faced ! Not keen on Lauren. Love Levi roots such a happy chappie, wish David would put some clothes on 🤣 fern says she loves to swear so I will be expecting her to not be able to keep her potty mouth under wraps.

HiPpyChick57 Wed 06-Mar-24 11:21:33

Love this show. You have to wait until the “honeymoon” period is over before it really gets going.

I know a few of them and know of a few others such as Ekin Sue. I never watch Love Island but my friends do so I usually have a blow by blow account of what’s going on.

glad they’ve brought it back. Me and my DD love watching it together.

grandMattie Wed 06-Mar-24 11:22:22

Absolutely not! I loathe the voyeurism, etc. Include me out!!!

rafichagran Wed 06-Mar-24 11:23:14

I cant take to Lauren either, although I thought she was dignified in not arguing with the rude entitled Louie over the bed.

Amalegra Wed 06-Mar-24 11:25:11

Yet another reason to keep Netflix and Amazon Prime! I find all the reality dross (and dreary game shows!) put out these days very boring. I much prefer a good documentary or some decent drama. The latter is very hard to find!

Doodledog Wed 06-Mar-24 11:32:17

I don't want to be confrontational, but can someone tell me why so many people are posting on this thread to tell us that watching is beneath them? What is the point? I keep seeing that there is a new post on the thread and go to read it, only to find that yet again it is someone belittling the show, the genre and the viewers, whilst simultaneously saying that they never watch it.

Nobody cares if you don't watch it. But this thread is for those who do. Why kill the vibe for those of us who enjoy it? What do you get out of it? As a people-watcher, I'm genuinely interested to know.

Parsley3 Wed 06-Mar-24 11:42:27

I haven't watched Big Brother since the very first one but having (accidentally) read this thread I am watching episode 1. Sharon and Louis are like lost souls, but lovely Nikita has arrived and now Ekin-Su. So far so good, celebs I have heard of. I don't watch soaps so I won't know those ones but Sharon and Louis don't seem to know them either. I will watch more later.

No no and no? Overpaid narcissists! Why !

I totally agree with you Doodledog do people feel they have a higher moral compass by not watching it and telling people like us who like it they don't watch it. This is a thread for people who do like it, who want to discuss it in a light hearted friendly way.
My daughter is on a forum of friends who have known each other since school, they are now proffesional women, my daughter is a journalist, others are in different proffesions, most are Mothers. They love big brother, and have another forum to discuss this. These woman have enough stress in their life and this is something they like and discuss. Not everything has to be serious.

I find it fascinating, seeing how people interact. It doesn’t take long before they seem to forget about the cameras and their real selves emerge. Then it is interesting to see how they match up to their public image. Sometimes people can be really surprising. For example, I remember in a series ages ago finding Carol Thatcher (daughter of PM Margaret) very likeable. I think she won it that year. Others can be awful. In the jungle programme Nigel Havers, who I’d always liked, was very bad-tempered and petulant.
