Same team as the last series... Signed up for the next 2 seasons.

Hmmmmmn, I would have liked the original cast back but not the new ones.The female detective I found mega annoying. Douglas Henshall was perfect even if different to Perez in the books.

While the cast does affect my enjoyment to some extent, I watch mainly for the scenery and try to recognise places, even though I've only visited the Shetland Islands once!

The female detective rather put me off the last series.

Not as good with new detective, but will still watch.

Wonderful news.
I very much enjoyed the last series with the return of an islander who happens to be a police detective. I love that Tosh is finally in charge too.
I think that Ashley Jensen is well suited to the role of a returning Islander, and I feel the series will be good with both women at the helm. Really looking forward to it.
I did love Jimmy Perez too, but really, I think that I just loved Dougie Henshall!!

Same here Charley68. Dougie Henshall was a big hit with me too.
I’ll still watch the programme though. Tosh is very likeable and I think Ashley came across very well too.

I preferred Dougie Henshall but I’ll definitely watch the new series. I have a friend who lives in Lerwick but I’ve never caught sight of him in the “crowd” scenes!

I couldn't warm to Ashley at all, but I expect I'll watch it.

I wasn’t to keen on the last series, so might not bother with this one.

I really like Tosh. What I'd venture is that its "not the same" as the original but worth it in its own way.
