Anyone watched it last night? All a bit different, enjoyed it.

Janet24 Wed 27-Mar-24 11:26:04

The combination of so called humour and horror is beyond me.Gave it 30 mins them abandoned it.

NannaFirework Wed 27-Mar-24 11:44:53

We are watching on itv3 and are enjoying it on the whole.
Yes, some of it is abit far fetched but it is entertainment.
Each to their own.
I don’t see why some people are so awfully rude when commenting.
As my Mum always said, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything”.

I am enjoying it. Love the quirkiness and how it gets your imagination working.
Looking forward to how it will pan out and might stream the other episodes.
Some great quality actors appearing.

Loved it. First 15 mins were a bit confusing and I’m not sure there’s any comedy in it, a mistake calling it a comedy drama, but I’m hooked, and characters are strong and memorable.

Utter rubbish, and he is doing another script. As unpublished writer I am astounded at the rubbish that is put on tv, but he is an actor so he had a foot in the door

We watched it, mainly enjoyed it but weren't very impressed with the ending.

Calendargirl Wed 27-Mar-24 13:10:57

if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything

We are talking about a tv drama here. Doubt if anyone connected to the programme will be bothering what a load of grans are saying about it. They will see far worse on tv or newspaper critics reviews.

And if we can only talk nicely about many of the topics on GN, there won’t be much to read most of the time.

It was good and had to work your imagination to keep up with it. I will be watching the next episode. I thought it was on last night now need to find out when episode three is on. Finding it more interesting than that one last week called Coma that just gave me a headache load of tosh.

Maggieanne Wed 27-Mar-24 15:35:54

We had to give up on this, even with headphones we had trouble hearing what was said and they talked too fast, not impressed.

Susieq62 Wed 27-Mar-24 15:54:31

I quite like it ! Different !

Nagmad2016 Wed 27-Mar-24 17:59:03

I've recorded it but I don't think I will bother watching it now sad

icanhandthemback Wed 27-Mar-24 18:23:30

Nagmad2016, watch it and make up your own mind. What some people have loved has bored me to tears but some of the stuff they hated, I loved.

Shall we just discuss puppies and kittens, then?
This is a forum where we discuss and put forward our opinions It’s not an echo chamber.

Passenger is head and shoulders above Love Rat (I'm still in therapy). It's quirky, different, intriguing and certainly not predictable. The humour is northern, clever and subtle, not shoved in your face. If you're looking for something a little 'off the wall' I would recommend. Otherwise, there's always Sally Lindsay.....grin Ps - for anyone in doubt, it's a crime thriller with a supernatural twist.

ruthie2 Wed 27-Mar-24 21:46:53

Oh, was it meant to be a comedy? Inhabitants of some inbred village arguing non-stop and using the f word every ten seconds? Absolute rubbish.

Picklesgranma Thu 28-Mar-24 07:12:54

Watched the whole series because we were determined to understand it! However it seems there will have to be a second series - still don't understand it though 🙄

pooohbear2811 Thu 28-Mar-24 08:28:29

glad it not just us then, we watched 2 episodes on catchup but could not make head or tail of it either. Won't be watching the rest.

essjay Thu 28-Mar-24 08:34:23

my sister and I watched the whole series and then realised that there is going to have to be a second series, but maybe if the ratings are not good enough we will be left wondering

Suzieque66 Thu 28-Mar-24 17:59:59

It really annoyed me ... in one scene a girl was coughing up black stuff from her lungs ... most people would be running to her GP but all she did was go to a Chemist for cough mixture ... far too barmy for me ...

Dollymixtures Mon 01-Apr-24 12:08:09

I watched it all on ITVX and only found 6 episodes and enjoyed it. But it finished very unsatisfactorily so I presume there’s another series? There so many unanswered questions and very odd happenings but it was a bit different to the boring norm.

I’m watching it but still don’t know why. Why do so many programmes have the f work ever few seconds, just who are these writers, with such a limited vocabulary, surely there’s better.

If you are watching a show about the criminal fraternity you are likely to hear the bad language because that is what it is like in real life so you could argue that the script writers are actually quite good at capturing their subject matter. If they were writing about a tea party with a bunch of Gransnetters, you'd probably find less bad language! wink

I have recorded it to watch it all in one hit.

We’re enjoying watching it ..take more than the f word to offend me.
A tea party with a bunch of gransnetters ? Could be boring ?

Oh, I don't know. Some of the things I have read on GN have had me laughing out loud with their funny stories. A political discussion would probably end in a punch up and occasionally, we could have a Mad Hatter's Tea Party. 🤪
