Why do newsreaders (UK) boot-lick their reporters. On BBC it's " Thank You Very Much Indeed" then ends up with another "Thankyou". Why all this boot licking? It was refreshing the other day when on local news the stand-in news presenter just said "Thanks Fred".
And "Coming Up"! So annoying. Most of programs now are filled with this repeating, time wasting technique. I record most programs now to skip that stuff.
