There's nothing new to be said. Just an excuse to make a very superficial programme. The body language expert was neither interesting nor perceptive. ..... Charles put his hands in his pocket because there was tension between him and William, at the same William rubbed his hands together because there was tension between him and his father. Fgs, it was a freezing day outside some place in Scotland and their hands were probably getting jolly cold!

Oh dear, you do knoe that you do not have to watch it, don't you?

things a bit slow on gransnet are they.

Joseann Sat 06-Apr-24 23:08:25

Eh? I wanted to watch it and comment as to its originality.

Joseann Sat 06-Apr-24 23:17:05

Actually, it has been quite a rewarding day on gransnet with posters thanking each other for support in many areas - dogs, fashion, health, pensions, London sights etc - to name just a few!!

I thought the body language expert was a bit cringey. Anybody can put their own take on actions and gestures because how can anyone know what they truly mean?

Why did I watch it?

Dunno really. 😂

Joseann Sun 07-Apr-24 04:58:09

😂

Calendargirl Sun 07-Apr-24 07:17:44

I suspect you watched it because ‘there wasn’t much else on’ Merlotgran.

I find this so often on a Saturday evening, I don’t have Netflix or similar.

So last night it was ‘Dixon Of Dock Green’, with Jack Warner looking long past retirement age, then another royal palaces, followed by Charles and Catherine, but couldn’t stay awake for any of the latter so went to bed.

If it were not for the royal programmes on, there is very little I would watch on said evening.

Just watched this.

Noticed in the end credits the narrator was Katherine Wogan.

Terry’s daughter, I think.

Interesting.
Did you notice she was the only person to call the Princess of Wales, "Kate" at least 50 times? All the other royal correspondents said, "Catherine". She might not have realised she was being disrespectful if she was just reading a script, but the editor or someone should have spotted it.

welbeck Sun 07-Apr-24 21:55:37

well the programme was called, kate and the king.

crazyH Sun 07-Apr-24 22:03:54

Fed up of seeing the ubiquitous body language expert, Judy something . Is it a real science or just mumbo-jumbo ?

Calendargirl Mon 08-Apr-24 08:41:09

Also, one of the overseas reporters at one time referred to ‘The Duchess Of Cambridge’, when speaking about her cancer diagnosis.

Wish they would at least get her title right.

And several times referred to as ‘Princess Catherine’, probably by the narrator. As has been discussed on GN previously, both she and Diana are/were not entitled to be referred to as Princess Catherine/Diana.

Joseann Mon 08-Apr-24 08:52:04

Yes, at least RF discussions on Gransnet make us more observant about such things!
And in other areas too.
So the title of the programme was wrong too - the juxtaposition of the common abbreviation Kate alongside the regal title King.
I'm reading too much into this, and my contributions are not always approved of here.
So, I'll head off to collect the DGCs now.
