We had reception problems so I watched it on and off. I think I’ve got the gist of it. Will continue tonight.

Yes it was far fetched but think I will continue to watch, at least I can keep track of the characters.

The usual claptrap…..but will watch again tonight, I like Claire Goose.

I gave up half way through. All too silly and I kept expecting Jill Halfpenny to start dancing as all I could remember was the jive she did.

Moonwatcher1904 Tue 09-Apr-24 00:14:39

It did seem a bit far fetched that while he was in his office she could see everything that was going on. Even a mirror placed so she could see him using his safe. What's the betting that she could even see the combination he was using.

I shall try and stick with it, although it's a typical Ch5 drama full of plot holes (aren't they always). I really don't want her to turn on them with the kitchen knives during the night though.

If you want some decent drama (great stories, actors and scripts) turn to 'Clocking Off' on the BBC. I started a thread on this because it's so brilliant.

Very unlikely story, but watchable (although I did fall asleep in the middle for about 15 minutes.)

henetha Mon 08-Apr-24 23:20:57

Who needs a lodger like that? Highly unlikely story, I thought.

lemsip Mon 08-Apr-24 23:17:10

was looking forward to this but gave up after 29 mins. disappointed.

Primrose53 Mon 08-Apr-24 22:32:03

Yep, well dodgy and highly unlikely. She even sat watching TV with them all. I wouldn’t have that!

I think we need some new actors coming through. As someone else said JH has been on or is coming on so many TV progs that it gets confusing which prog you are watching.

BlueBelle Mon 08-Apr-24 22:30:51

Yes that’s right Moon but its still a bit bonkers though

Moonwatcher1904 Mon 08-Apr-24 22:20:03

I think it's the child she come for. Alice is adopted and I heard Sian at the end say she wanted her baby back.

BlueBelle Mon 08-Apr-24 22:09:16

Umm I watched and not sure it all seems so unlikely and so far fetched

granfromafar Mon 08-Apr-24 21:48:42

I wanted this to be good, but.... she moves in straight away, no luggage?
Has £3000 cash on her??
Cooks breakfast for the family on the first morning - did she provide the food or just use the family's? Talk about taking a liberty!

Knittynatter Mon 08-Apr-24 21:36:51

And she’s wearing her boots upstairs! 😂

Calendargirl Mon 08-Apr-24 21:30:52

And by the second break, telling her life story to the new lodger, hasn’t known her 24 hours, plus drinking with her and going home drunk.

Bit unlikely.

🤷‍♀️

Calendargirl Mon 08-Apr-24 21:15:54

Well, in the first 15 minutes, left a stranger alone upstairs and accepting £3000 in cash from her to pay a bill!

Would you be offering that much cash straightaway?

Charleygirl5 Mon 08-Apr-24 11:39:33

I thought I would give it a go, I do have an "off" button which I use frequently.

I remember Jill in Strictly!

Calendargirl Mon 08-Apr-24 08:46:35

Another 4 nighter, starting tonight on Channel 5, 9pm.

Looks promising from the trailers, but….

Starring Jill Halfpenny, who also starred in ‘The Drowning’ and ‘The Holiday’, both previous channel 5 (I think) 4 nighters, both equally awful.

Not forgetting the recent ‘Love Rat’, but cannot blame Jill for that one.

Well, we live in hope for this week’s offering.
