Following a thread recently about “Clocking Off”, I ended up watching the whole series. Very enjoyable! Any recommendations for other similar programmes? Don’t have Netflix.

years ago there used to be a series called Play for Today. Not sure if those are still available.

“Moving on” was a good series that used to be on about 5 years ago at lunchtimes.

A Place to Call Home is still my fabourite.

Someone else mentioned this series a few weeks ago. I had a look for it but coolant view any of the episodes for some reason despite all being listed.
Which TV channel did you view it on LucyAnna please?

It’s on BBC I Player.

I posted on another thread about London's Burning on UKTV Play, one of the best series ever made. Great characters, stories based on actual events and featuring real fires. There were 172 episodes and it was one of ITV's longest running series. The quality diminished over time, as always, but there are plenty of great episodes.

Anyone who has seen it will agree that A Place to Call Home is the best series ever. If you can't get it free then it's worth paying on You Tube or buying the full DVD.

Don't forget Upstairs Downstairs which is old but has lovely characters and stories. It starts a bit wobbly and dated but very soon finds its feet and improves. Well worth following. It's on ITVX.

The House of Elliot is somewhere But sorry I have no idea if it is Netflix, iplayer or some other channel.

If you enjoy Paul Abbott's writing you could try "No Offence" on channel 4. It is not cosy though.

Used to enjoy House of Elliott, I'd forgotten about that. You might be able to get it on UKTV.

I don’t know if you can still see episodes of Tales of The Unexpected but I enjoyed them many years ago.

I'm also currently enjoying:
Mad Men - Channel 5
All Saints - Amazon Freevee
