Anyone watch it tonight?

The dogs were good! 👏👏🐕🦮🐩

What does "bump" mean

Millie22 Tue 23-Apr-24 08:29:29

I quite like Bruno although I don't think he contributes that much. He is definitely better than David Walliams.

Simon has really ruined his face.

Joseann Tue 23-Apr-24 07:53:13

PS forgot to mention that I don't watch the actual show, so I can't properly comment, but I do pick up the exceptional performances through my feed on fb.

Joseann Tue 23-Apr-24 07:40:51

I think the red tinted glasses stop headaches or migraines when the lighting is strong. They're worn for skiing and they really work to cut out that brilliant glare of white light. Did Simon have a mini stroke once, or am I dreaming? He fell down the stairs?
Anyway, I liked the Annie singer too. Her voice was unexpected.

BlueBelle Tue 23-Apr-24 07:30:26

Loved the young black opera singer, loved the Korean troop blooming fantastic , I thought the Annie singer had a lovely personality and a good voice The little boy with the brain tumour was so sweet too (A good show totally spoilt by goldfish man and the burping lady)
What’s with the red tinted glasses Cowel was wearing they looked awful

Yes, what a fantastic voice. Amongst all the dross on BGT every now and then there is an amazing talent. He will surely go far.
And I even enjoy some of the dross.

Was anyone else blown away, like me, on hearing the young man from South Africa at the end of last night`s show? I thought he was wonderful.

He was amazing and totally unexpected. He deserves to go far.

Looks ridiculous, the same goes for Sandra Bullock. Most of these so called celebs look like blow up rubber dolls.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 21-Apr-24 11:58:16

BGT is one of my guilty pleasures…

vampirequeen Sun 21-Apr-24 11:55:24

I loved the goldfish man. Not the act because there wasn't one really but the fact that he just kept coming on. I can't helping thinking it's some sort of set up though. Why wouldn't security stop him? If he's on again in the next show then it's definitely a fix/set up.

I loved the girl singing that awful song from Annie. For the first time ever I found myself in agreement with Simon Cowell (not sure how I feel about that). The way she sang the song stopped me from hating it..

I didn't watch BGT last night - might give it a go in future. Even after all these years, I'm still 'hooked' on Casualty.

maddyone Sun 21-Apr-24 09:59:38

I truly dislike this programme. We had it on last night because our grandson is staying over for a couple of nights and he likes it. In my opinion it’s sheer, unadulterated rubbish. Bruno’s fake look of amazement at one act was toe curlingly embarrassing. At least we won’t have to watch anymore of these fake programmes because mostly our grandchildren stay during school holidays rather than on Saturdays, but Daddy is running in the London Marathon today, so babysitting was required.

Lovetopaint037 Sun 21-Apr-24 09:51:49

We enjoyed the brilliant dog act. Also the girl singing Tomorrow but that last act, the young Koreans were fantastic. It’s the reason I really enjoy BGT so many unbelievable acts. The bloke with the fish face was just a filler and predictably ridiculous and that girl burping was intended to be awful. Remembering the fiasco of last year’s winner where that idiot just danced about waving jackets I am hoping that voters won’t be “having a laugh” at the expense of real talent.

Bridie22 Sun 21-Apr-24 09:30:11

Maybe if GN got a grip on them people won't!!

merlotgran Sun 21-Apr-24 09:28:24

Bump!

I do wish folk would stop posting on the nuisance threads that we’re trying to shove down the Active list.

sodapop Sun 21-Apr-24 09:05:30

Another Casualty fan here as well. The dogs were very good but the Korean troupe were outstanding I thought.

BlueBelle Sun 21-Apr-24 08:58:54

Charleygirl no you’re not the only fan I love Casualty warts and all
I ll watch it on catch up

Cossy Sun 21-Apr-24 08:57:20

I watched this with my DH, his daughter and our 9 year grandson and together we enjoyed. My absolute favourite was the dogs, I HATED the goldfish man!

Astitchintime Sun 21-Apr-24 07:42:27

Whoever told Alesha that the jacket she was wearing looked good was either blind or a fibber! It looked like a XXXXL mens suit jacket that was cut-off part way down the body! How ridiculous.

LucyAnna Sun 21-Apr-24 07:36:19

Bump

Charleygirl5 Sun 21-Apr-24 07:27:19

I watched the first hour as I am a fan of Casualty, probably their only fan and enjoyed that young girl singing Tomorrow. There was talent on last night but that did not include the Goldfish man.

I noticed that Amanda almost remembered to wear a dress. I did not notice the trout lips, will look tonight.

Sparklefizz Sun 21-Apr-24 07:24:36

Amanda and Simon have wrecked their faces.

Bridie22 Sun 21-Apr-24 07:12:57

The group from Korea were amazing, and the young lady who sang Tomorrow, but the daft goldfish man and burping lady were awful !
There is a lot of botox and fillers in the judges, Simon Cowell looks ill.
