Anyone watch it tonight?

The dogs were good! 👏👏🐕🦮🐩

MissAdventure Mon 13-May-24 18:47:59

She was inspirational, but I've heard better singers.
Ouch! At least I've said it now.

She was good, but not that good.

Grandmadinosaur Mon 13-May-24 18:30:10

The blind lady at the end was so inspirational. She was more deserving of the Golden buzzer than the Japanese man.

MissAdventure Mon 13-May-24 18:06:15

I think it's all a load of old codswallop these days.

Smileless2012 Mon 13-May-24 17:11:54

That annoyed me Bluebelle. They should stick to the 'one gold buzzer each' rule which I know Bruno didn't understand last year and pressed again by mistake, but it's silly to keep going on with it.

BlueBelle Mon 13-May-24 17:08:57

The blind lady and man were excellent and she was so funny too

BlueBelle Mon 13-May-24 17:08:25

Last night I thought Amanda Holden giving that silly Japanese man with ‘the hair’ the golden buzzer was ridiculous

Hellogirl1 Mon 13-May-24 16:02:50

They do tend to give 4 yesses to the most stupid acts. Last night the only acts I liked were the aerial lady from Mexico (she didn`t look 39!), the magician, and the blind lady singer at the end, wonderful voice!

Salti Mon 13-May-24 10:30:41

It gets worse continually. Last night I gave up completely and turned off.

Lovetopaint037 Fri 26-Apr-24 10:07:18

Yes the opera singer was brilliant. Hope he gets through to the finals.

Shropshirelass Wed 24-Apr-24 10:03:49

I agree the goldfish man and burping lady (?) (a lady wouldn’t consider doing that!) were horrendous. Let’s hope that genuine talent gets through as the last act, beautiful voice. Let’s not have a stupid, talentless contestant voted as the winner this year, the ridiculous high viz vest act from last year made the show a laughing stock, no talent there at all.

Mojack26 Tue 23-Apr-24 19:52:06

Never watched it. These shows,to me, are way past their sell by date...

BlueBelle Tue 23-Apr-24 18:19:06

In your opinion Spencer some of us like and enjoy it

Spencer2009 Tue 23-Apr-24 18:15:28

It’s complete rubbish

Barbadosbelle Tue 23-Apr-24 17:38:22

..

I much preferred 'Holby' but did watch 'Casualty' because of the connection and occasional crossover.

I stopped watching two years ago when 'Holby' finished, but have often thought of programming it back to SeriesRecord.

Have I missed too much that the lack of knowledge of the characters backstories will spoil it for me or is it worth giving it a go?

P.S. I never watch BGT. Gave up years ago when the Judge's plastic faces were too disturbing to view!!!!

Other than professional singers etc appearing on the show, what I find annoying is the fact that it’s called
BRITAIN’S Got Talent. Yes, there was real talent but some came from other countries.

harrysgran Tue 23-Apr-24 16:25:46

Never miss Casualty 😊

HousePlantQueen Tue 23-Apr-24 15:19:49

I loathe these so called talent shows. Suggest you read "Chart Throb" by Ben Elton, anyone who is a fan of these dreadful, exploitative shows will think differently after reading it!

polly123 Tue 23-Apr-24 14:56:42

The South African opera singer was outstanding. Wonderful voice and so very talented. The goldfish man was interesting and reminded me of the pants man from last year. Depends what happens next if anything. The rest was of a better standard than usual. The panel are excruciating to watch but the cameras will keep them in focus to irritate us while they gurn relentlessly so as not to be ignored for more than a couple of seconds.

ninamoore Tue 23-Apr-24 14:03:36

TBH she’s had so much work done she looks nothing like she used to. Many celebrities the same

petra Tue 23-Apr-24 13:49:56

RunaroundSue

Looks ridiculous, the same goes for Sandra Bullock. Most of these so called celebs look like blow up rubber dolls.

Since when was Sandra Bullock referred to as a celebrity
She’s received an Oscar and a Golden Globe award.

MiniMoon Tue 23-Apr-24 13:39:07

When you "bump" a thread it keeps it active, so more people will see it.

Smileless2012 Tue 23-Apr-24 13:34:20

I thought she was brilliant and I don't think it matters if anyone has taken part in other talent shows. The lady with the excellent dog act had previously got through to the BGT live finals, but I don't agree that a singer whose already appearing in West End shows should be allowed.

TanaMa Tue 23-Apr-24 13:22:32

Have seen much written about the 'Tomorrow' singer already appearing in West End shows! The French/Canadian woman, vocalising animal (and other) noises, apparently has already tried her chances on two other talent shows! I thought the programme was to find 'unknown' talent not professional or semi professional acts!

crazyH Tue 23-Apr-24 12:08:10

Yes, what does ‘bump’ mean?

RosesAreRed21 Tue 23-Apr-24 12:00:29

She made me feel sick. Cannot believe they put her through
