Changes in taxation that Andy Burnham seems to be interested in
Good grief! I thought it was a plot for a far fetched novel but no, it actually happened. When 2 primary age children made some alarming remarks and named other local children as being involved, Social Services went into overdrive and were convinced that Satanic rituals were being practiced in the local community. If they had investigated these children and their lifestyles they would have found that they were allowed access to horror films, far too gruesome for their young ages. SS removed the named children from their homes and from there obstinately refused to deviate from their belief about Devil worship to the anguish of these children and their families. An upsetting watch but a real eye-opener and a feeling that there for the Grace of God.................
Exactly Iam.
Thanks nightowl. I mentioned earlier in this thread, adults will use anything to control children they’re abusing. Witchcraft, magic, religion etc and terror all feature. It’s very difficult for people who haven’t first hand experience to believe the depths some sink to
Sorry I should have said, the above happened in November 2023 in Glasgow.
Seven members of a paedophile gang who posed as "witches and wizards" have been found guilty of running a "monstrous" child sex abuse ring in a Glasgow drugs den.
In what the NSPCC called one of the worst cases in recent decades, 11 alleged members of a paedophile gang faced a string of charges against three children.
Seven members were found guilty of sexual assault and rape by a jury at Glasgow High Court on Tuesday. (Sky news)
Many of the elements bear similarities to the allegations in earlier cases, then dismissed as the fanatical obsessions of evangelical Social Workers, and now described as a moral panic.
I was very close (in a professional sense, but not directly involved) to one of the earlier high profile cases. There were some powerful people implicated in many of the allegations. I didn’t know then, and I don’t know now, what I think about that case, but I know that things are not always as they might seem.
As with the Salem Witch Hunts there is usually a hidden agenda involving either money, sex or power.
This baby grow has floral sculls over it. It is pretty because of the colours, but I still don't understand why use sculls if they don't look like sculls?
Clearly
It's still in fashion.
I think skull and crossbones popularly refers to pirates [although why people should want to glorify pirates I do not know] historically they were seen as both a symbol of mortality and of the resurrection.
Routinely allowing children to get terrified by adult horror films I guess things is surely not a good thing, but historically children have been told stories such as Hansel and Gretel and Red Riding Hood, where there are horrible things, being eaten by a wolf, being fattened up to be eaten, but, evil does not triumph in the end; many children are traumatised by Bambi and Dumbo though, one must be very careful. There was a time though when it was thought appropriate to terrify children with the thought of hell and damnation [and the devil] to encourage good behaviour, and nowadays I can imagine that social workers would look askance at anyone who did this. There are some churches [not mainstream] that believe in possession by the devil, which gain is pretty abusive
Keep skulls and away from babies, poor things, but just giving a dummy with a skull on isn't abusive, just in incredibly poor taste
😯
My ex had a baby daughter, and her mum put her in a t shirt that said "eat sh*t and die*.
She did it to get at the dad, (I think) which it did!
Not a great fashion.
What happened to teddies?
Why? I just want to know why. and possibly who?

In 2013, after the sudden death of my husband, children's services became involved with my family. I remember seeing a report, after a new social worker visited my home. She had written "Query Satanism- skulls etc" I never saw her again, and I assumed that the social workers who were already working with us had dismissed her concerns.
I dread to think what they would have made about us then.
As my children collected interesting debris on our frequent walks to a local beach. Which comprised of many things, but several different sizes of bleached sheep and or bird sculls and skeletons, became the favourites.
They were arranged in size order on top of the piano, for all to see!😄Do you remember the fashion, not so long ago, when skulls were printed on t shirts etc.?
Thankfully none of my DGC liked it! 💀☠
Just saw this Callistemon
My daughter had a bib for her 3 month old many moons ago, which was black (there was a fashion to dress babies in black
), with sculls in white on it.
She said she was given it and hadn't really look closely at it, too tired.
That such a thing was made was mind boggling to me - who ever wants babies covered in sculls?
Anyway, I didn't mention it, her brother did. Not my baby not my problem, although I detested seeing it on a lovely beautiful baby
it is almost as if focussing on horrendous and OTT stuff like satanic abuse, for which there seems to have been little evidence, was a distraction fto take attention from the likes of CS [and JS] whose antics were ignored because, well why do powerful people manage to get away with stuff like that, but if made up stuff is taken seriously, people will concentrate on that instead. Like a lot of things, I guess there may be the very occasional true satanic abuse/black magic incident. And this obviously ought to be put an end to, but raids like in Rochdale and Orkney were beyond belief, what it did to the poor children snatched from their parents, or the families even when they got them back, I don't know but any such trauma will have long lasting effects.
It is also horrendous for someone wrongly accused of abuse, and everything should be done to investigate claims
But when there are so many people independently saying the same thing about someone, bells should have started ringing. Dr Shipman too was suspected of dodgy doings by not only another doctor, but an undertaker and local patients who called him Dr Death, but their concerns were ignored. Had he not forged the will and had the daughter of the lady not been suspicious, and a lawyer, he might have continued with his dreadful practice for many more years, it took a forged will to put an end to things. the powers that be have a poor track record of listening to people who suspect wrongdoing, look at those who suspected Lucy Letby, and the policeman who was pretty sure that Peter Sutcliffe was the Yorkshire ripper, basically told to shut up and they'd be in bother if they said anything more
I suspect Mi5 knew about Beech and were well aware of long standing rumours about paedophiles at Westminster. It will have suited some purposes not to allow the kind of excellent work done by detectives in Bury/Rochdale on Smith repeated.
There was one apartment block used by officials named by various children over many years. The same names, including Smith were mentioned repeatedly.
My response to the first reports on Beech was to conclude he’s a fantasist. I feared once he was unmasked as such, safeguarding, investigations of networks would be put back. That’s what happened. I can’t understand why the detectives involved didn’t check his history, his medical records as his claims were fantastical

What a shame the men in suits weren’t around when Carl Beech was making his horrendous claims against innocent high profile politicians.

Allsorts, ‘men in suits from London’ stopped the prosecution. The police team were warned not to speak of it. They were angry and felt guilty the young men were let down
How could it happen that the police did all they could and those terrified little boys had the courage to speak out, yet that evil creep walked free. You have to conclude, its who you know and what you have that stopped justice, I hope he’s not resting in peace.
Old news but still important Granniesunite. Police involved in these two investigations remained haunted by their inability to get justice for the boys/young men who were brave enough to come forward.
Yes very old news.
Yikes.
“ the Crown Prosecution Service said the decision taken in 1970 would not have been made today.
In 1972, having returned to the Liberal fold, Smith was elected MP for Rochdale and was appointed party whip in 1975.
His Westminster role afforded him even more power and influence and coincided with an increase in his abusing.
One of his main targets became Knowl View residential school, in Rochdale, which catered for boys aged between seven and 16. He had been part of the campaign to see it established, was present at its official opening and became an all too frequent visitor, especially at night.”
What a creep.
😱
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/02/18/cyril-smith-serial-paedophile-establishment-turned-blind-eye/
Those poor boys must have been terrified sitting ducks for this monster. The Liberal Party never threw him out did they?
I must Google that.
oodles - it was exactly as you say, his abuse of boys well known. People working in the care homes he regularly visited were told ‘don’t let Cyril be alone with boys”
There were two excellent police investigations. ‘Men in suits from London’ took the paperwork, warned the team of detectives never to speak of it or face the sack and imprisonment
Rochdale is also notorious for the MP that the Telegraph described as a "serial paedophile to whom the establishment turned a blind eye"
But he was a white member of the establishment who went for little boys, who was knighted despite people coming forward to say what he had done, why is everyone just mentioning the Asian grooming gangs, why not mention him too. Horrendous for all the victims whoever did it but can I spy some racism here omitting mention of him. I've read that it was so well known in the town children were told to have nothing to do with him.
And he as doing what he did when there was all the satanic abuse hysteria
There were over 12,000 allegations of Satanic abuse during the panic, all investigated and none of them substantiated. In cases where there was genuine child abuse, such as a very bad case in Nottingham, the supposed Satanic elements were found to be non-existent. Investigators were criticised for having been distracted from the real crimes.
The majority of cases involved totally innocent people and were the result of a moral panic which affected social workers, police officers, lawyers, psychologists, etc. It was driven by religious fundamentalism but it spread beyond the evangelical community to the authorities. . Families were torn apart by a modern version of the witch craze.
