I didn't watch it but remember it well.
It was the most frightening thing I've ever experienced- driving too and from work (we had to close early) and then atempting to get home when the local river burst its banks. Luckily I didn't get stranded as I knew the alternative routes but I was so relieved to be home and dry that day.
I do live in a hilly place and always buy houses on the tops of hills. I've never experienced flooding in my home and am very grateful for that. It must be devastating to see water coming through the door.
