I’m getting tired of the many celebrity takes a trip programmes and only started watching this when it popped up when I was channel hopping and I was instantly drawn to it. I remember standing front of Venus in the Uffizi thirty years ago and the programme transported me back to that time.

My husband is very anti celebrity holiday jaunts but I persuaded him to give it a go as we have been to Venice and Florence and I wanted to see them again on film. He loved the programme. He is now very taken with Rob and Rylan.

I’ve loved Ryland since his first audition on XFactor in 2012.

Thanks. I didn’t know where he came from. Was only aware of him doing Big Brother. Didn’t know he sang!

Wonderful scenery and paintings etc, but although I like Rob Rinder I am not so sure about Rylan.

I’ feel the same but will still watch as I love Italy.

We have only watched the first one but looking forward to watching the second episode tonight. As DH said it’s like being in a painting.

I suppose seeing the fantastic art in the flesh would have this effect on you. !!!! grin
I didn't know that Donatello's David was the precursor to the one by Michelangelo.

I have watched all three episodes and enjoyed them all.

Rylan and Rob seemed very understanding of their different personalities and enjoyed one another's company.

I felt for Rylan when he said that everyone assumed he was shallow and 'thick'. He is clearly very smart.

Rob seemed to be very emotional and one the verge of tears much of the time. I suppose seeing the fantastic art in the flesh would have this effect on you.

I hope they do more of this type of programme together

Another fan here. It's lovely.

Brilliant series, so funny they gel well together.

Joseann Tue 21-May-24 15:31:08

Outstanding! Not just the scenery and the culture, but their growing understanding of each others' minds and different interests. Rome next stop.

I’m so loving this series. All the places I travelled to with my ex and then took our children to. I’ve loved Rylan ever since I listened to an interview with him on a Paul Theroux lockdown podcast.
