Is this so that the ghastly Rowan can blackmail at a later date? So disappointed that Tracy hasn't sorted him out, she must be mellowing with age [age] Just how cute is Dorrin. I wonder if Alina will return at all.
Whether it was 60k or 40k, why would Ken or anyone else encourage Amy to invest her inheritance with ‘the institute’?
Better to put a deposit down on a property and live in it, instead of co-habiting with granddad, dad Steve, mum Tracy when she isn’t in Spain, Uncle Tom Cobley and all.
Does anyone know what the Institute actually is/does? It's supposed to be A Good Thing - doing good works and 'helping people' (and presumably it does nothing of the sort) but how does Rowan claim it does that?
I was hoping that Ken might ask a few pointed questions of Rowan, and begin the demolition of the Institute. Perhaps he has something up his sleeve to discuss at home with Tracy and Amy, away from the over excitable Leanne and the smarmy Rowan. Surely a minute or so looking at some details on a phone are not sufficient to satisfy him?
It all seems to blur together at times! It does, and I pay less attention to the crime storylines, so lose the thread quite easily. As this one seems to involve Kit, Nathan and Joel, as well as Sarah, Bethany, Dee Dee, Lauren, Roy, Carla's nephew and Uncle Tom Cobley and all, I am even more attention-challenged than usual .
Lauren now has quite a bit of support, hopefully she'll come through this. What's Joel's next evil plan though??
As a solicitor, Joel knows the system. I think he will try to persuade Swain that Dee Dee and Lauren have ganged up and concocted a web of lies about him. At the moment it is his word against theirs and fathering Lauren's baby is not an offence. Sarah needs to go to the police and admit she planted the forensic evidence in Nathan's van. I hope Betsy comes forward and tells her Mum about Joel.
Silly me thought that now Dee Dee has rumbled Joel he would be out within a week but no it is being dragged on I think for months. That is what spoils Corrie for me.
I have not worked out what Kit's motives are.
If they would like a writer I am happy to give my services for free.
Oh, surely they can't drag this on for months 😩
I agree - It does spoil it when these implausible stories go on forever. On it's own, the Kit story might be ok, as it's good to be suspicious of a character and wonder how it will play out, but not when it's tied in with Nathan, Joel (are they connected?), Lauren and potentially the Will Mellor character too.
We should form a scriptwriting committee and send in our collaborative efforts. I'm sure we could come up with better ideas than the ones they have at present. Goodness knows how many years of watching we have between us on this thread.
There are adverts on ITVX. You have to pay extra for ad free viewing. That's coming in on all sorts of i-players/streaming services.
I know. That's why I said 'now that many people watch on ITVX without the ads'.
I see the ads when I watch live, but at least 50% of the time I catch it later without ads. I have no idea of the figures for that way of watching, but it must make a difference to the income from advertisers. I suppose if Corrie were cancelled and people cancelled their subscription it would make a difference, but how many would do that?

I'm glad they are getting the Joel storyline sorted out. I wondered if Corrie would drag it out to such an extent that we would still be watching it at Christmas. I don't trust Kit in all this. There is something very shifty about him. As well as Joel, I want to see the back of Rowan, another unsavoury character.
