The old one is getting full, so here’s a nice shiny new one.

Where is Lauren? What is Dee Dee’s chap up to? Is Kit a villainous baddie or a force for good? Do we care?

Post your predictions and observations here (no spoilers please).

Aveline Tue 19-Nov-24 15:00:28

I never noticed Sarah being a big pal of DeeDee. Meanwhile poor Max looks so tiny and young compared to the other prisoners.

I thought Joel’s body was found wrapped up in bin bags- or is that just my memory? Hopefully not another mystery. Of course DeeDee will be pregnant - doesn’t every sexual encounter in soapland end in pregnancy?

You got that spot on - and she said it was 'just once'. We will now have weeks of 'Will she keep the baby/have an abortion'? Joel's father might well find out and try to persuade her to carry on with the pregnancy. Sarah is now in the soft voiced eyelash fluttering advice role filled by Gail for the last thirty years or so, and on we go.

Time Brian came out of the Kabin for some daft nonsense!

Charleygirl5 Tue 19-Nov-24 10:09:22

We need some humour instead of sex, babies and murders.

Apparently the Ken/Cassie scenario is going into next year. Cannot wait! It is dragging these scenes out that puts a lot of us off. I have no idea why I watch it.

Calendargirl Tue 19-Nov-24 08:25:25

Thought last night’s episode particularly dreary.

We really don’t need yet another baby in the Street.

As for Ken suddenly doing away with Cassie’s services after the expensive holiday…

What has happened to the remainder of the £50k premium bond win? Has he spent it all? Not very prudent of Ken, even if he does have a ‘degree’.

And Cassie obviously up to no good, fiddling with his medication to make him ill, and still needing her, no doubt.

And the Max and Lauren business will get very wearing, with her lying through her teeth all the time. And Max drifting about in prison, again.

Lauren needs to destroy the note that David left her because that will give the game away.

Is she still at Joel's flat or the foster home now?

Doodledog Sun 17-Nov-24 15:11:28

I caught a programme talking about the episode on ITVx. It was hosted by Sharon Whatshername who writes some of the scripts.

There were interviews with the relevant cast members, but no spoilers, except I think someone mentioned that there would be another twist to come.

Thanks BlueBelle.

Calendargirl Sat 16-Nov-24 07:33:14

I don’t find either Max or Lauren very likeable.

I don’t know how Lauren will get on in the foster home. She will soon be mouthing off if the foster person tries to tell her anything, I can imagine she will flounce out with Frankie and expect everyone else to sort things out.

No doubt will end up lodging at Roy’s.

Frankie will be his new project, taking over from the dog who we never see or hear about now.

Didn’t think David seemed too fussed to hear Max had been charged with murder, faffing about in the kitchen.

BlueBelle Sat 16-Nov-24 06:27:00

Beechnut they just went through each scenario of the supposed guilty person showing what really happened so DeeDee, Swain, Kit, Ronnie and Ed and Max and Lauren
So Max was fighting with him and losing and Lauren hit him over the head with a rock to save Max
Max is covering for her

Sarnia Sat 16-Nov-24 06:00:33

I suppose this will drag on for weeks now until Lauren finally gets found out.

Beechnut Sat 16-Nov-24 00:31:19

After patiently waiting for tonight’s episode I fell asleep? I watched up until DeeDee whacked him.
Could someone give me a recap please?

BlueBelle Fri 15-Nov-24 22:46:09

Oh he ll get off and they ll live happily ever after don’t you think ?

Clawdy Fri 15-Nov-24 22:17:21

Such a disappointing ending. No twist, and a sad ending for two young and likeable characters ( and there aren't many of those on the Street).

Calendargirl Fri 15-Nov-24 21:35:17

When did Max learn to drive? confused

Never heard of him having lessons. (This has maybe been asked before).

Well, I was hoping it would be Kit.

Where was Lauren sitting at the end with Frankie? Was it the foster home?

Aveline Fri 15-Nov-24 20:28:58

Told you!

Doodledog Thu 14-Nov-24 11:47:17

Aveline

The cast could do with a few holes!

Good point, well made grin

Calendargirl Thu 14-Nov-24 11:04:46

Her name was Siobhan I think.

I may have spelt it wrong.

She just turned up out of nowhere at the hospital after not seeing her for weeks.

It was as if the scriptwriters suddenly thought “Oh crikey, better write Siobhan in for a bit”.

It’s possible, depending on what his condition is, I suppose. I have a friend who is a wheelchair user, and she can walk short distances, which often surprises people.

I wonder about Max’s ex girlfriend. The black girl whose name I can never remember - sister to his friend from the borstal. I’m sounding like my granny grin. She always gave a cv when mentioning people - the woman who married that chap with the limp. You know? They lived next to the vicar’s daughter who had the big dogs?

Anyway, it could be her, as she was effectively dumped for Lauren, and hadn’t she been a victim of the grooming gang? She would be a plausible killer, but wouldn’t leave a hole in the cast if so.

BlueBelle Thu 14-Nov-24 07:17:11

I don’t know calandargirl but it’s soapland I think it’s as good a theory as anyone else’s 🤣🤣🤣

He’s the only one who hasn’t had the finger pointed at him but has a motive…. as he adores Lauren
How? I m not sure perhaps he was a good aim with a rock or perhaps he hit him with his walker I don’t know

I just saw a real life video of a man robbing a shop and the only person to tackle him was a young man in a wheel chair who launched himself out the chair and onto him knocked him flying then others came to help so not entirely out of the realm of possibilities

Calendargirl Thu 14-Nov-24 07:07:28

Aveline

A powerful episode. The young lovers were so sweet. Their fantasy planning all doomed. So sad.
Lauren did it. A continuation of her tragic life.

Yes, the little house with decking and garden.

But having to live with Max’s family, who soon will have no home themselves.

No wonder lives are such a mess.

What a start for Frankie.

Calendargirl Thu 14-Nov-24 07:03:43

It wasn’t Max I m sure he’s covering for Lauren but I m not sure it was her either still got my money on Bobby he d do anything for Lauren

But Bobby needs a walker to help him get about, how would he overpower Joel?
