Just seen a clip of him at a pride event where he wishes Kemi Badenoch would shut up and disappear. Then he says we should all be kind to everyone. Except women perhaps??

Yes let them be themselves, dont embrace gender stereotypes. No such thing as dressing like a woman, living like a woman, the toys you like have no impact on whether you are a girl or boy. Dont say born in the wrong body, telling children they are somehow wrong is a terrible thing to do.

Absolutely.

VioletSky Sun 30-Jun-24 17:43:43

Oreo how can you say a child should have that freedom of choice in one breath but state this choice cannot possibly have been made by the child in the next?

Sometimes children choose to go to pride with magnificent rainbow wings... You don't believe a child because you don't like the parent suddenly?

That child is not being exploited, they are living their best life in magnificent butterfly wings... They have my full support to do that

Am sure your support will be appreciated wink
I fear for the future of many of these kids tbh.

I think this will help long term with toxic masculinity, and the danger that poses to women...

Teach children they can all cry, they can all play sports, they can all wear whatever they want to wear, they can all play with whatever toys they want to play with...

Let them be themselves

Definitely and most parents do, but that doesn’t mean using them to prove a point, sticking a boy into a frilly dress with wings and parading him in public.

That's how our boys were raised and they didn't need to wear rainbow wings and dresses.

Callistemon213 Sun 30-Jun-24 17:30:53

No-one's arguing with that Violetsky. That is letting children be children.

Most of us had enough common sense to realise that when we were bringing up our children. Try telling that to Lego!

Tennant is exploiting his child.

Tennant also described those who wish to claim women's spaces for women (sport, changing rooms etc) as "whinging little f***ers" I'm happy to put my hand up and be counted as a WLF. The man's an idiot and his child is just that - a child. If the child is inclined to be a different gender, then maybe the parents should try suggesting that gender stereotypes are just can be ignored. Personally I've been fighting the stereotyping since my long-ago teens. They can live as they like without the poison of puberty blockers etc.

Again πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ from another WLF!

A very unpleasant man Paperbackwriter .

Hmm, I don't think you understand that is exactly what the child is doing, ignoring gender stereotypes and rejecting gender pronouns... Sometimes that looks like wearing a rainbow dress and wings

Well said Callistemon, I think I read somewhere when the great actor Anthony Hopkins was asked about his opinion on some political matter his response "don't ask me I'm an actor" and that's it. In this context DT's opinions are his own, just that and won't resonate with the majority of women and anyway who cares, he's famous for acting. Conversely Kemi Badenoch's stance on this matter is representative of many womens' attitudes and their fears.

Is that your child in the photo? I don’t think you should be posting pics of them on here if not.Still very recognisable to some in spite of the rainbow heart.

No, it is the child of David Tennant

It's a public photo so yes I can share it

Now mine was a great response btw lol

Fact check guys

VioletSky Sun 30-Jun-24 16:48:32

And yet, they rarely post photos on social media and when they do, they cover their child's face... Every single picture

So how is it exploitation allowing your child to wear what they want to wear to an event they want to attend?

Smileless2012 Sun 30-Jun-24 16:46:19

Great response Callistemon.

A hate campaign shock has anyone said they hate DT? Just because a lot of people are in agreement about a particular issue Crossstitchfan doesn't mean they're like a lot of sheep.

Quite.
It just happens that on this subject many women are in full agreement.

Smileless2012 Sun 30-Jun-24 16:44:58

Well I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed VS.
