I’ve heard about this, but assumed it was a joke. If it’s real - not a good thing to do to your family.

Well perhaps those of us who tune in might like to comment about it on this thread going forward? Could be entertaining!

Oh, I thought he might go on Strictly.

The Viennese Waltz, the Polka, the Gallopade would all suit him!

Really looking forward to this.

Are there any spare pins left? grin

Urmstongran Fri 12-Jul-24 16:14:44

He’s eccentric but unfailingly polite. And knowledgeable.
I think it’ll make for good viewing.

Marydoll Fri 12-Jul-24 16:13:23

I too have no time for him. I will share my pins with you Grandmabatty. 😉

Grandmabatty Fri 12-Jul-24 16:07:51

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes

I will have a watch, I find him fascinating in an odd sort of way.

.....So along the lines of The Kardashians you seem to imply Urmstongran. I mean somehow, JRM with pumped up lips, enhanced buttocks encased in lycra isn't something one assisociates with the former Member of Parliament for the 18th century. What can he be thinking ofshock

🤣
I shall defo watch this.

Urmstongran

He’s charming and polite so it’ll be like KUWTK but with Earl Grey tea ☕️ I imagine.
It’s going to be on the Discovery. Handel.
320 on Freeview I believe.
I’ll be watching when it’s released. 😁

Charming and polite??

Each to their own!

I’ve always found him rather peculiar and patronising 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I shall watch it, providing it’s not on Netflix.

Lovely to know that Moggy won't have to go down the local JokeCentrePlus and go through endless hoops at a Universal Credit interview now he's lost his "job" in the Commons......

Urmstongran Fri 12-Jul-24 15:30:06

He says today in the Telegraph:

“ There is the opportunity to make the subject look ridiculous, which has never been particularly difficult in my case anyway. I also have memories of William Hague’s effort when he was party leader and went down a water slide in a baseball cap.

However, I was persuaded that a series, as opposed to a one-off, would not work as a hatchet job. Viewers would get the point in the first episode and would only watch the rest of the series if they had some empathy with the family. This does not mean that there is no risk, but it is to some extent ameliorated. At least it is not the jungle.”

Urmstongran Fri 12-Jul-24 15:26:25

Coming soon apparently. A series (eat your hearts out Kardashians 🤣)! I like JRM, good egg, makes me smile, great presenter and old school politician which l love. Good luck with the show Jacob sure it will be a hoot.
