For those who enjoy an Australian Crime Drama, I've watched the first episode of this new one, it appears quite promising.

I really enjoyed this and am sorry that it's finished. It certainly seems that there could be another series as there were a number of loose ends. I want to know what happens next.

The scenery was fantastic although much too remote and lonely for me and I found the "vastness" of the wilderness overwhelming ... I wouldn't want to live there.

I'm glad Andie found her "mob" and wanted to learn more about her roots and the indigenous people.

Oh poor Archie. 🥲🥲

I have really enjoyed this too on advice from gransnet. The scenery was just stunning too, as others have said. We were not really told what had happened to Sam either, whether he died or survived. I was hoping he survives, there is a series 2 where they explore her mother's heritage more

also,Damian will be in it as in the end he was just psychic? maybe they will find out what happened to Luke which seemed unconnected to all the other stuff going on?

Callistemon - I’m hoping enough for series 2

There's sure to be!

I think a lot of different people are missing. I got a bit confused with all the names but it seemed to make sense in the end.

Funny things happen out bush.

I am planning to watch High Country. I gave up on the Jetty wondering what sick mind thought the incident with the horse was good viewing.

I'd recorded The Jetty but have deleted it since reading some online comments about it.

We're enjoying High Country but I'm getting a bit confused about who's missing.

I am on episode 4 of this and enjoying it.

Binge watched on iPlayer. Hang on in there it gets interesting! No spoilers….

Lovetopaint037 Thu 25-Jul-24 01:49:34

Finished it last night on IPlayer. Really enjoyed it. There are some loose ends but as dh said it says series 1. Perhaps there will be another.

So pleased to see others enjoyed the scenery, the reference to indigenous beliefs, a sergeant with dual heritage and yes the horses. I hope there’s another series

Hugely enjoyable.
Good storytelling.
Love the horse, the scenery and the whiff of the paranormal with the psychic.

I'm so sad I've finished it sad. I thoroughly enjoyed it. So beautiful to see and the crime(s) surprised me. Some loose ends though. Hope there's another series.

We are enjoying it and particularly like the casting of an actress with an indigenous background. The scenery is simply glorious.

Aveline Sun 21-Jul-24 19:38:03

I agree I am64. I won't be watching the rest of the Jetty.

Iam64 Sun 21-Jul-24 19:10:51

Merlotgran - after watching ‘thst scene’ in the jetty, the horse and relationships in this are so good

merlotgran Sun 21-Jul-24 19:02:46

I want the horse and the ‘studio’

Sorted! 😂

I’ve watched 3 episodes. I was gripped after the first 15 minutes. I know nothing about the area, isn’t it spectacularly beautiful and wild. It’s got a good cast, the dialogue is excellent and the story line keeps me watching
I love the use of horses and some insight into indigenous people’s beliefs. Fascinating.

Aveline Sun 21-Jul-24 18:32:57

I'm enjoying this. The location is lovely and so interesting. I have been to that area and liked it very much. Happy memories. I've watched two episodes so far and plan to watch the rest over the next week.

sassysaysso Sun 21-Jul-24 13:01:23

I've got two more episodes to go and it's beginning to feel a bit of a chore, watchable but nothing special. Will see it through to the end but it would have been better with fewer episodes

TerriBull Sun 21-Jul-24 07:14:27

Thanks for that snippet of information nanna8, I'll Google Jamieson, the surrounding scenery was certainly stunning.

nanna8 Sun 21-Jul-24 00:03:00

We used to go up to Jamieson where it was filmed because we used to have a house up there. It is wonderful country, just gorgeous. I don’t think we have got that series here as far as I know - haven’t seen it. It is at the edge of the snow country where we can ski.

I love anything Australian so I'll give it a go, but as it says 'murder, deceit and revenge' I'm not holding out much hope. I've had my fill of murder as it seems to be in everything.
