Does anyone watch Eastenders any more? The storyline of the 6 women trying to jail an innocent man is dreadful, not one character is likeable. I remember the rape scene with Dean and remember Linda very willing and they had regularly slept together and I didn't realise at the time it was rape am I remembering it incorrectly?

Gave up on EastEnders a long time ago . Seriously thinking of dumping Emmerdale and Corrie , I appreciate they tackle social issues and that is commendable, however the level of violence is IMO unacceptable !! It is very shocking - early evening too. Just becoming too much for me.

I’m sticking with it but goodness knows why. I only like Yolande. What’s happening with the creeper pastor?

Havent watched it in about 3 months. Have been on and off[mainly off] for years.

At some point I will whizz through many recorded episodes, and just vaguely know what is going on.

I only watch Eastenders and Emmerdale. To be honest I have tired of the story of the 6 women in Eastenders, too far fetched.

Addicted to Stenders! I know it's rubbish but.....

Well, I still enjoy it anyway. And unapologetically.

Gave up on Eastenders when Pauline hit her husband with a frying pan .

No she said no to his advances and then he raped her.

I’m with Henetha, still watch and enjoy Enders, mostly! Looking forward to the 40th anniversary episodes, apparently loads of old characters coming back.
Always wondered why there is a permanent thread for Corrie but not Enders. Gave up on Corrie years ago. Can’t please everyone…..

Another long-term viewer here, although I sometimes threaten to give up on EastEnders because the murders, blackmail and deceit are just too depressing. The ratio of angst to joy seems all skewed.

I can assure you that Linda wasn't involved with Dean apart from a normal sister/brother-in-law relationship and he most definitely did rape her. However, I agree that framing him for murder is reprehensible!

It's just so depressing, like all the soaps now, and they're all losing viewers. I can remember someone at work mentioning the previous night's Emmerdale and getting the response of" is that rubbish still on?". Younger people I know just don't bother with soaps.
