Ads on Itvx

I used to subscribe to BritBox which has now been taken over by ITVX so the subscription membership just followed on although I did have the option to cancel.

I much prefer watching ITV programmes on ITVX and have to say that I haven't noticed any ads. Those 2 hour crime dramas are lots shorter with no ads to interrupt them.

Yes about ITVX. The ads are just irritating, but a good opportunity for an loo break or a puzzle fill in.
Anyone buying a CUPRA?

If you watch ITVX via a browser on a tablet/laptop, install an adblocker such as uBlock Origin and recordings will then play back, skipping over the irritating ad breaks.

Doesn't work for live-streaming (obvs) and I don't think there's a way to use adblocking if viewing on a smart TV.

easiest way is to record any programmes with ads. Then you can fast forward when you watch

If I’m knitting in the afternoon, I quite often have the TV on, something undemanding if I need any degree of concentration on the pattern.

So I’m not surprised at so many ads evidently aimed at oldies - they’re awash with funeral plans, mobility aids, riser recliner chairs, walk in showers etc. - but do they need to come across as if we all have an IQ of about three and a half?
