Strictly restarts this Saturday when it will be the pairing up of celebs and pros..... which may even be less cringe-making than usual. grin

I don't know many of this year's celebs, but nothing new to that, and no doubt I shall get hooked in as usual.

I'm not sure Jamie's partner is really getting to grips with his frame somehow, if you get what I mean.

Yes, I agree Calendargirl, JB and Lauren are a good partnership.

Calendargirl Sat 23-Nov-24 19:35:43

Yes, Lauren’s wig looks better than her own short style.

I realise JB has improved anyhow, but personally I think he and Lauren are a better and more successful partnership than him and Any.

Well done JB and Lauren. 🤞

Sparklefizz Sat 23-Nov-24 19:33:17

Lauren looks transformed by that wig and much prettier than with her usual hairstyle which (in my view) doesn't flatter her at all.

Calendargirl Sat 23-Nov-24 19:26:59

I love Motsi’s dress.

What a kaleidoscope of colours!

I think Tasha is very good, but I think Sarah is better,
A bit more character I think, Tasha is almost too perfect x

madalene Mon 18-Nov-24 12:01:41

I thought Pete and the trousers this weekend were awful. I don’t like him anyway but those trousers were very off putting. His dancing is poor, I hope he goes next week.
I hope Tasha wins.

Grannynannywanny Mon 18-Nov-24 11:47:56

I agree about the marking this year. The judges clearly have their favourites. They had a chance to eliminate Pete a couple of weeks ago when he was in the dance off but they ejected Shayne. Due to Pete’s huge social media following he might not be in another dance off and we could see much better better dancers being eliminated. That’s the most frustrating part of Strictly 😠

Sparklefizz Mon 18-Nov-24 10:31:50

I agree Sara1954, the judges' marking has been all over the place.

Sara1954 Mon 18-Nov-24 09:22:06

Sparklefizz, I agree it’s annoying, but that’s the nature of the show, year after year we see this with the public vote, but this year I think the judges, apart from Craig, have not been very fair.

Sparklefizz Mon 18-Nov-24 08:49:06

Yes, Casdon, it's annoying when good dancers leave and weaker ones stay in.

Casdon Mon 18-Nov-24 08:10:24

In fairness I think Pete and Montell are the weakest two left now, so it should be one of them next week. I’d be more upset if it was one of the others, as they are all very good.

escaped Mon 18-Nov-24 08:07:11

I agree Sarah1954. I think the public will be a bit cross that Montell keeps getting saved when they clearly aren't voting for her. So even if she suddenly became brilliant, she will go next.

Sara1954 Mon 18-Nov-24 08:03:56

Pete has got a huge social media following, they’ll probably keep him in again, so I think next week will be Montell, she’s obviously not a favourite with the public. So happy Wynne has gone, perhaps Shirley will go with him as she seems to love him so much.

DanniRae Mon 18-Nov-24 07:13:28

I am glad that Wynne has gone.......hope Pete goes next week!

I really enjoyed the music by the Pet Shop Boys on Saturday and tonight. A lovely Sing-a-long-a.

Sparklefizz Sun 17-Nov-24 21:12:58

The music Pete had to dance to, and the choreography he was given, certainly didn't help him. I'm not a great fan but he has danced better in other weeks.

He will probably go home next week.

ginny Sun 17-Nov-24 21:00:45

Actually he was saved by those awful punk trousers.

ginny Sun 17-Nov-24 20:52:14

Pete should have gone home. He is only still in on personality. His dancing is not a patch on any of the others ,

sassenach512 Sun 17-Nov-24 20:33:13

I wonder if Pete is going to dance in his undercrackers next week to catch the votes because his dancing isn't great. No doubt Shirley will have a fit of the vapours again, she certainly had them on Saturday wink

Sparklefizz Sun 17-Nov-24 20:22:16

Casdon

You were right Sparklefizz. Pete - saved by the trousers!

grin

GrannyGravy13 Sun 17-Nov-24 20:13:51

Pete looked genuinely surprised to not be in the dance off.
