Strictly restarts this Saturday when it will be the pairing up of celebs and pros..... which may even be less cringe-making than usual. grin

I don't know many of this year's celebs, but nothing new to that, and no doubt I shall get hooked in as usual.

The results show has been a 45 minute one for many years now Allira

I must keep up! 🕺💃

Millie22 Mon 30-Sept-24 13:38:22

It could have been a charleston or a jive or any dance tbh with all that jumping about and head shaking stuff.

I feel sorry for Tom he looked so disappointed.

Sarnia Mon 30-Sept-24 12:18:16

I expected Paul Merson to be the other contestant having a dance off with Toyah. Poor Tom. I don't think his height helped him but I didn't think he was the worst.

I ageee Ilovedogs she’s definitely a tryer. All things aside I think she is the same age as me and doubt I could do what she’s doing. Loved her comment about being off to Barbados if she went out!

Yes Grandmadinosaur! (fabulous name by the way. smile) Toya is certainly a force of nature & she smiles constantly unlike many of the contestants. In the words of Craig "Fab u lous" grin

Regarding Toya, I love her energy & positive attitude.
God loves a tryer! 😊❤👍

For the first time since I began to watch it I skipped the results and enjoyed the proms and a book .
I did watch it on Saturday and didn't particularly enjoy it .
Maybe , it's me .

I've never really watched it before until the last three or four programmes.

As for the results programme! Didn't it used to be about 15 or 20 minutes long? The BBC knows how to stretch nothing much into a long drawn-out programme!

^I thought Toya's charleston was lifeless.^

It was supposed to be a jive grin

😁

Who'd have thought it!!

What a load of tripe!

Have you watched it to come to your informed decision?

They are a promising group of Celebs but as usual they can shed a few of them before the competition really gets going.
Sam Quek stands out for me - full of energy, enthusiasm and she keeps to the rhythm of the dance despite not having any previous dance experience.

Clawdy

It should have been Toyah and Paul Merson in the dance off, can only think football fans are voting for Merson.

I was disappointed to find it wasn’t Paul Merton. Once I knew, I thought Paul Merson would be in the dance off.

Harris27 Sun 29-Sept-24 21:43:26

Dipping in but not really bothered like I used to be.

annodomini Sun 29-Sept-24 21:25:07

I thought Toya's charleston was lifeless. Limp kicks and no flicks that I could detect. I thought Anton was right to vote for Tom.

Grannynannywanny Sun 29-Sept-24 21:00:08

I watched with my teenage granddaughter Clawdy and she said at the start of this evening’s programme that Paul M was safe as football fans will be having a laugh voting to keep him in. She said he doesn’t need to dance, he just needs to turn up, mess around and crack a few jokes.

Casdon Sun 29-Sept-24 20:55:07

I think Paul Merson will be there for a while myself, he’s this years novelty act, he’s very entertaining, even if he dances like a cart horse - and the leopard print trousers were something to behold!

Mollygo Sun 29-Sept-24 20:48:19

I didn’t watch the dance off, but I thought Toya had been reading what the media said about her head tossing because there was much less of that this week.

Casdon Sun 29-Sept-24 20:09:56

Agreed, Sparklefizz.

Sparklefizz Sun 29-Sept-24 20:05:49

I don't like Toyah but I thought that was fair. She might be out next week instead. smile

gillgran Sun 29-Sept-24 20:05:07

I enjoyed last night's show, ( as I always do}!

Sorry to see Tom voted out, seems like "a nice lad", he looked disappointed.

So we'll see how Neil & T fare next week.

Sweetpeasue Sun 29-Sept-24 20:04:55

Felt sorry for Tom but Toyah definitely had more musicality and rhythm for me. Great opening dance - very gothic and I like to see judges show us what they can do.
