CNN have produced a series of Have I Got News For You to coincide with the upcoming election. It has a similar format to the UK version.

I watched the first episode last night and it was dire. I assume that it is meant to be funny but it wasn't at all IMO. The two women shrieked at the slightest thing. It had none of the finesse and subtlety of the English version.

Did anyone else watch it and do you agree with me?

I haven't seen the CNN version, but I am sorry to say that I think your comments apply to the English version as well. Hislop and Merton strike me as two tired ageing men who are no longer funny, but are still to be venerated. Don't know if they will change now they have fresh meat to work on.

I no longer find our version funny at all.
Blatantly Left wing, boringly predictable, with the inevitable sneering comments about Tory MPs.
Then there’s the coarse language which, for some reason, produces howls of laughter from the studio audience.

It’s a shame because years ago it used to be quite funny with some genuinely witty comments but those days have sadly gone.

For the little I saw of it I never thought it was funny or entertaining. Same with that one about the Buzzcocks.
