Can’t believe I’ve read this. Is it true? I’m all for people taking extended leave when they have lost a loved one but she’s never there and I’m my mind taking the …..

Her mother died recently

I don’t listen to the Radio, although I have heard of her. I used to watch her Dad, Johnny Ball …he used to present an interesting programme on TV

Well, I like the fact that Scott Mills is on early (when I don't listen!) and DJ Spoony is in his slot.

Lots of people take extended leave for a variety of reasons - many unpaid. I'm not sure what the issue is here?

I don't know about you, but I read about these folk earning such huge amounts and I can't even imagine having that much income. Even around £100,000 seems an incredible amount to me. Blows my mind.

Apparently she’ll be back on Monday, her private life is just that.

Grief is different for all of us, I think it’s good that she has such understanding employers.

Her employers seem to have a great deal of compassion, and people deal with grief differently.
Many years ago my Ward Sister gave me two days off after my dear MIL died. Her words to me "well she wasn't your mum". The caring profession.!!!

I agree great having both Scott Mills and DJ spooney on a huge improvement. I still miss Ken Bruce and Steve Wright

I miss Terry Wogan, the in jokes, the readers letters, the racing tips, his decent choice of music and guests always made his breakfast show excellent. Zoe Ball seems to spend her time warbling on about whatever reality show she's watching and gushing over sports she clearly knows little about.

She’s back on her breakfast show on Monday. Have actually enjoyed listening to Scott mills and will now listen to him in the afternoons. So much better than the overpaid and overrated Zoe Ball. But will go back to Chris Evans on Virgin Radio in the morning until she’s on holiday again.

I don't blame the woman for taking some time off to grieve in private.
Imagine having to be cheerful and bubbly for the public day after day!

I've preferred having Scott Mills rather than Zoe Ball babbling and wittering on.

Oh I expect £950,000 a year would jolly me along. 🤔

What does she do?
I've never seen her for years
