A Very Royal Scandal.

Am watching at the moment and enjoying. Shame it's so dark as its spoiling the viewing of a good drama.

The real Amanda is thin and sleek so why have the silly race and Andrew calling her a fatty ? She was loyal to him all through this time .

I've seen both, and as Maw says, I enjoyed them both in different ways. Rufus Sewell was more convincing as PA I think, but Michael Sheen was good too.

As a non-Royalist (but not staunch Republican - I'm not really bothered either way) I like things like that and The Crown, in the same way that I enjoy historical fiction and Wolf Hall on TV.

I did -and then watched the Billie Piper/Gillian Anderson one straight after! It was a late night!
Didn’t actually like Michael Sheen as much as Rupert Everett as PA but Ruth Wilson was more convincing as Emily Maitlis.
I know that physical similarities are not the be-all, end-all, and the slant of the plot was very different but equally valid.
Alex Jennings was brilliant as the ultra-posh Queens Private Secretary but they didn’t do Fergie any favours did they? (Fat, frumpy, air-headed)
Rather like the real thing, nobody comes out of this story well, do they? PA’s monumental stupidity and arrogance and his sycophantic Private Secretary most of all.
