The Last Duel, Ch4 catchup

I was completely confused at the beginning but I always am. I thought it was interesting to see how the three main actors acted differently when their account of the story was being shown eg Matt Damon went from benevolent hero and loving husband to the sort of boorish man you’d dread being married to.

Why was she left on her own at the castle and how did her attacker know she’d been left alone? Did Matt Damon’s mother do it deliberately? Didn’t really understand that bit.

I thought it was a new series too but got thoroughly sucked into it, so watched to the bitter end. I thought the beginning was rather confusing and slow and in some bits Pythonesque. Maybe it was the minstrels! Anyway, the three different stories/perspectives really made the film for me. I couldn't help thinking about it when i went to bed. Just imagine what it must've been like to be a woman in medieval times. I think you were better off being a fatherless widow (with money of course). At least you wouldn't "belong" to anyone.
