I wasn’t sure what it was worth in Sterling, but they have to earn money via the tasks and someone took 10k in the first episode. The winners seemed delighted though. I don’t think the value of the prize adds to (or detracts from) the watchability of the show. Maybe it makes the players more competitive though.
I did find the NZ lot more likeable as a bunch than in other versions. I didn’t take to Colin, but would have been happy if any of the rest of them had won.
