It was very ‘This Country’ which my daughter raves about but I’ve never watched. More lightweight than I was expecting but good fun.

You should watch this country, in your words it is ‘good fun’. My son loved it too.

38 years ago for fun I invited a Palmist who I knew as entertainment at my 40th Birthday. I said that anyone who wanted their palm read could do so. A very sceptical friend eventually decided at the last minute to have her palm read. The palmist knew nothing about my friends. She told my friend that she was in the medical profession which was spot on as she was my Dentist.

My son was 12 and asked me if he could have his palm read. I said he could and explained it was just a bit of fun. The palmist told him he wouldn’t settle down into a proper job until his early 30s 😳. How right she was. He wrote his first children’s fiction book at 32 and is still writing full time at 50.

It’s a strange old world.

I watched all the episodes so far and thought it was great! Very quirky, very English but such good fun!
