I also wondered about the bitchy remarks on this thread, all I see is a (comparatively) young woman with 9 children and a relationship on the rocks, making a living … it just happens to be on TV.

She looks pretty good in a miniskirt and vest top anyway!

Their children are a credit to them. Hard working, supportive of each other and thoroughly grounded.

Or, to put it another way, Amanda and Clive are successfully supporting their large family.

Lots of (normal) farm and kids pics on insta, though fewer than she used to post. But, you know, nine kids.... things are bound to be busy.

Amanda has always taken the younger kids with her, even carrying them on her back. Grouchy, judgmental grans could get off her back, I think.

We're sheep (and cattle) farmers, and its not easy and you do wear old clothes all day. You make a decent living but will never be 'rich farmers' even though your job is your hobby and you're content.
I think she's been taken over by the TV team who are trying to make her look sexy-attractive and she's lost her natural attractiveness.
So she'll have been encouraged to lose weight, she'll have been dressed in impractical clothes, her hair will have been styled and her face covered in make-up.
The programme's out-run itself and changed her from a 'simple country lass' into a townie's version.
They almost did it with Hannah Hawksworth if you recall, but the old lady defied them.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds her supremely irritating.

When she first appeared on our screens she was a breath of fresh air and down to earth. She had a lovely Yorkshire accent and dressed in old oilskins, woolly hats and wellies. She was knowledgeable about animals and wildlife, the weather and the countryside. I really warmed go her.

As time went on the accent almost disappeared and she started wearing really skimpy clothes which I can’t imagine any woman wearing on a farm as they offer little protection from the weather, thorns etc.

I also felt she was wrapped up in herself as Clive was left to sit down and listen to the older kids and quietly give his advice. She was off tramping across the countryside with a couple of younger kids trailing a long way behind her.

Never seen a woman change so much.

I found it a bit odd. Too much talking by Amanda, and I thought her voice had changed. and not enough of Clive and the children. Must admit I fell asleep.

I have seen this programme listed & I knew something of the
back-story due to the tabloids but as stated by a few of the other posters; it really is the 'Amanda show'! Any chance to wear a skimpy top or a very short skirt and she's on it.
Give me Kate Humble anyday! She's knowledgeable, naturally attractive and engaging. Everything that Amanda is not.🤔

I found it to be too much Amanda and not enough Clive and Reuban. She just stands around Rabbiting while they do the work. They should have named it the Amanda show if they were being honest and then I wouldn't have bothered with it.

Amanda has said herself that she gets annoyed when people think they are on their uppers when actually they are successful in their farming. Of course the money she has made would make a huge difference but with such a large family they would need it. You don’t have to own your house or land to be successful farmers.

I’ve just watched it. I think Amanda looks ill. She’s lost so much weight and I don’t get the down at heel look as though they don’t have two ha’pennies to rub together. They’re successful sheep farmers!

Clive looks really well though.

On the whole I found it really boring and fell asleep.

I think all their real cash has come from her books, tv programmes and tv appearances.

Thanks for the reminder. I set the tv box to record the series and forgot to watch the first one. I’ll watch the series with interest. I enjoyed their earlier Yorkshire Farm programmes.

P.S. I have always thought there is something very strange about the whole Amanda story. There is barely a mention of her parents and siblings in any of her books and have never seen them mentioned on TV. I realise some people like their privacy but she could have explained this, especially as she has always courted publicity herself.

I didn’t watch it. Is she still showing off as much flesh as possible in her mini skirts and off the shoulder tops?

I did read an article where Clive said she just about stopped eating and made herself very ill indeed. Caused by the stress of their breakup and how the public seemed to turn on her.

I have read all of her books and thought they started renovating this old house some time ago.
