Just started watching this whilst channel hopping. I’d never heard of it before but it’s the second series as the first series was critically acclaimed. It’s a gentle comedy about ( I think) a Christian dating group. A Guardian review said it’s really about family and doesn’t poke fun at Christianity. Think I might binge watch it ( world affairs are getting me down and I’m doing a bit is escapism).

I watched the first series and loved it but haven't seen the new one yet (so much other stuff to watch!).

I thought it was about families and religious adherence without being offensive. I wasn't offended anyhow.

I don’t know how I came to miss it first time round. Ch4 do produce the sort of quirky comedies that I like but I tend to put BBC on at night and miss a lot of their stuff. I tried watching series one on catchup last night but I can’t seem to get subtitles on Ch4 so I need to watch it when I can concentrate better.

…Black Books and, more recently The Change are Ch4 comedies/comedy dramas that were brilliant. The latter got very little publicity. I’m hoping they make a second series.

Just binge watched the second series of The Change and loved it. Not sure if it’s left it open for a third series but I could probably watch it forever if only to see the bits with Paul Whitehouse and Jerome Flynn.

I was quite relieved when they mentioned that one of the problems with men doing housework is that they have a tendency to do the washing up using the same cloth that they use to clean the worksurfaces down with. Something that horrified me when I was staying at my partners [ we have an unwritten rule that he doesn't wash up at my house and I don't wash up at his].
