I've watched two programmes about love cheats .
Nothing surprises me .
I haven't been ripped off , but experienced being told lies on a huge scale :
One guy told me that he had five Baftas .
He had none .
He promoted himself as some sort of photographer /film producer or director .
He seemed to know many celebrities and had stories to tell about them .
He was so bad tempered and drank to excess .
He talked about his second wife all the time .
At weekends , a sort of panic would seize him in case his children visited .
Finally , I realised that he was lying to me when he claimed to have worked on a long running TV series .
One of the actors lives near me and we chat .
And it was filmed in an area , which I know very well as a relative lives there .
He claimed that it was filmed in another area .
I saw the look on his face freeze as he realised that he'd made a huge mistake Finally after being assaulted in a restaurant and locked in his house -
I began to distance myself from him
exaggerating my father's dependence on me .
He would phone or text me with a torrent of insults .
He actually terrified me .
