I have just finished reading the book which is wonderful
I watched episode one on catch up yesterday and I must say, so far, I am very impressed.

Excellent television! I binge watched it and one particular scene made me sob- it was so well acted and so real at the same time. Very evocative of a certain time in my life too.
Loved it.
