Don't forget Young Sheldon. The Conners is good too. It's set after Roseanne Barr's 'death'. Quite a sharp script and good characters.

I'll start Ludwig tomorrow. I have fallen asleep and watched a film this afternoon called a sense of an ending, which wasn't funny at all! but a good film nonetheless
how is it getting dark at only ten past four?
thank you all for the well wishes. I am really not a very good patient

I loved Daddy Issues on BBC.Everyone Else Burns is such a little gem of a series but seems to have gone un noticed by most people: I only found it by accident. The Change on (I think) Ch4 was very good but not sure if it’s on catchup. I still love The IT Crowd but have never watched Derry Girls properly. I caught one episode once and thought it was brilliant but, for some reason never watched any more. I must rectify that at some point. I liked Green Wing back in the day ( not sure if that’s on catchup) and, going back even further Black Books and Spaced. My daughter recommended This Country. I loved Hyperspace many years ago, again something that not many people seem to have watched.

Schitt's Creek is brilliant!

thank you for all these suggestions smile

I think I'll start with ludwig. I feel utterly dreadful and its not covid

Hope you feel better soon.
If it's the same virus, it's horrible. It wasn't Covid.
I ended up going to the GP (well, Nurse Practitioner) this morning because I thought it had turned into a chest infection but she said no. She seemed very thorough so just have to see upit through 🤞 and take some vitamins.

If you want gentle humour then I'd recommend Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing.

If I see any DVDs which are no longer considered PC thanks to the woke brigade I buy them in charity shops.

Little Britain, Love Thy Neighbour, Till Death us do Part, On The Buses etc. 🤣🤣

Peepshow
Father Ted
Blackadder
Mr Bean
Black Books
13 Stories High

These are all old ones and you have probably watched some of them before but they do bear re-watching.

Grannynannywanny

I love it LucyAnna2. Every character in it is so funny. Very clever script writing.

Yes, I agree - they cover a lot of social ‘issues’ in such a humorous way. I’ve binged on it so much, I don’t think there are many episodes left sad
Hope you feel better soon JaneJudge

Snap, Grannynannywanny re Modern Family - my GDs introduced me to it and we often watch it together. I record it - from E4 I think.
I found the first series of Colin from Accounts funny, but not the latest, second series.

I love the U.S sitcom Modern Family. I watch it with my teenage granddaughter when she stays overnight. It’s 30 min episodes and easy to watch a few at a time. It’s on Disney+ and some episodes are on channel 4 .

I often revisit Schitt’s Creek and Derry Girls despite having watched them many times.

I hope you feel better soon JaneJudge

I loved Ghosts, think there was 5 series in total.

Schitts Creek on Netflix. The best ever 😂 It now has cult status in the US.

Friday Night Dinner (Channel 4 or Netflix)
Two Doors Down (BBC)

NotAGran55 Mon 11-Nov-24 06:54:33

Not Going Out is one of my favourites.

Aveline Mon 11-Nov-24 06:41:10

Wholeheartedly recommend Derry Girls.

Twinkletoess Mon 11-Nov-24 02:56:45

I'd recommend Derry Girls it's hilarious and has that perfect mix of humor and heart. Or try The IT Crowd for some classic British comedy. Both should give you a good laugh!

JaneJudge Sun 10-Nov-24 13:44:29

I’ve been ill so I binge watched Everyone else burns series 1&2 on channel 4 app. I really really liked it.

Any other suggestions to help me cheer the hell up? smile
