It is a wonderful film

My father was one of Winton’s children. He was evacuated by train from Prague at the age of 12 and never saw his parents again; they both perished during the Holocaust. My father went on to have 3 children, 1 grandson and 3 great grandchildren who all owe their lives to Nicholas Winton.

I know a whole family who owe their existence to him

I saw it at the cinema a few months ago and thought Anthony Hopkins was brilliant cast as Nicholas Winton. My teenage granddaughter insisted on coming with us and didn't "get it" so played on her phone most of the way through the film which was really off-putting.

Me too but I did go to see Paddington in Peru. Either true life or feel good for me.

The ending is just so moving.

Yes I saw the Esther Rantzen programme. It was very moving.

Such a very moving film.

He seemed such a modest man and possibly found all the (well-deserved) attention quite difficult to cope with.

I saw it on Sky Cinema Poppyred.

I watched One Life at the cinema when it was first released. I enjoy films based on fact and marvel at the bravery of people like Nicholas Winton who put those children's futures above his own life.

What channel was that on please?

I think That’s Life was the show he was on with Esther Rantzen where all those in the audience that he had helped stood up.

I watched it a couple of months ago and really loved it too. What a man! It is amazing how many he saved and what he had to risk to do so.
