Hello, it's being repeated on That's Memories and is on series 3. It's Nicholas's first big role after Only Fools And Horses and he really shines as the time traveller.

I really didn't like it! I don't know what it was but I never found it funny. I do like Nicholas Lyndhurst though

I wasn’t keen on the programme - the theme didn’t interest me.

I do, however, like Nicholas Lyndhurst, who is now appearing in the re-boot of Frasier, where he appears as an old university friend of the title character.

I suppose it's one of those sitcoms you got or you didn't and it was made not long after Only Fools And Horses finished and people still thought of Nicholas Lyndhurst as Rodney. However, he does play a really good character in Goodnight Sweetheart and it's kept me entertained.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series the first time round .
I've been watching it again.
It's well cast and very well made .
It certainly contrasts pre war and post war attitudes .

Absolutely one of my favourites. I have the box set. Imagine if we could really visit a time gone by. I wonder which period we would visit. Mine would be WW11

The actresses who play Rodney's wives are well cast. His modern day wife, Yvonne, is a caeeer woman and independent, while his 1940s wife, Phoebe, just wants to settle down and have childen. Also while the actresses changed mid series, this didn't spoil Goodnight Sweetheart at all.

We really enjoyed it, my mum, my girl, and me.
It was so different from any other programmes.

I watched it years ago and really enjoyed it.

I have watched some of the re-runs.

It is strangely addictive.

Series 1 and 2 are being re run on That's TV now, as I missed some of the repeats last year. Michelle Holmes, who plays the first Yvonne, is really funny as Gary's sex starved, career driven wife. I didn't realise Michelle Holmes was in the eighties comedy film Rita, Sue and Bob Too, which is something I watched again recently.

My DH watches this over and over he absolutely loves it.
We watched the updated one a few weeks ago where he comes into the future and I think Yvonne is in the government.

I loved it, it’s also on ITVX 🙂

Loved Goodnight Sweetheart

I teckon this was one of the best sitcoms of the nineties and the idea of a man travelling between two eras was unque. Must admit everything I've seen Nicholas Lyndhurst in has been good.
