‘Conclave’ - film due out around now.

Went to watch it yesterday. Not one I would have chosen to see but husband wanted to see it. Had I watched it on TV I would have probably lost interest 1/4 way through but as I was at the cinema I watched it all and enjoyed it.

It was really enjoyable, I was hooked although the ending was a bit unbelievable but it's a "story" so I got over it. Sets are great, having been to Vatican City in September I thought they'd recreated them really well (kept jogging OH's arm saying I've been there!). Well worth seeing and the performances were really good.

I'm going to see it tomorrow and really looking forward to it.

My teenage grandson and I are hoping to find a date to watch Conclave. He is doing his mock GCSE's for the next 2 weeks so revision has to come first but we are both very keen to see it.

Just saw it - excellent! I'd read the book some years ago, but fortunately not remembered critical bits!
Just ordered the latest Robert Harris book from library - long waiting list!

I'm looking forward to seeing the film. I really enjoyed the book. I've never been able to get into Robert Harris's Roman novels, but his modern ones are very good.

I've also just seen this film and can also highly recommend it.
Ralph is, as always, fantastic however I also think the performance of Stanley Tucci is very, very good.

Saw Wicked yesterday, overlong, but good singing and dancing routines. Jeff Goldblum excellent, he was in the last 45 minutes.

Waiting for Conclave. Love our new cinema, small but perfectly formed 😀.

Oh Bakingmad, you have so much good reading awaiting you - Robert Harris is a great writer.

A book club friend saw it last week. She raved over it said Ralph Fiennes is magnificent in it!

PS, the novel was offered on my Kindle the other day for 99p!
It’ll be interesting to see how the book differs from the film. 🎦

Saw it this afternoon, highly recommended. Very gripping, and Ralph Fiennes is brilliant. If he doesn’t get an Oscar there will be no justice in this world.

Most of my friends enjoy kids films ,
but Conclave is a bit too serious for them .

Just come back from seeing it! My DH and I really enjoyed it, though maybe a little far fetched ending. Great acting by everyone. I am now going to read the book, to see how close the film was to the story. It has introduced me to another author which I haven’t read before- Robert Harris.

Was looking forward to this, but, for some reason they aren't showing it at our (recently revamped) Vue!

I love the cinema and will going to see it. I only hope I can look beyond Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort to accept him as a cardinal! I have read the reviews and it looks like an Oscar nomination is on the cards. He is a wonderful actor.
