Missed the first half, even though I’ve been telling people all week to watch it. Thankfully it’s repeated on Friday ( 6th) at 10.40. I was so in love with Keith Relf. I didn’t have a record player so I used to have my transistor radio on all the time hoping that Heart Full of Soul would come on. Didn’t realise that Keith had a drink problem sad. He died tragically young. I’d forgotten that Paul became a record producer for other bands including Cat Stevens.

Loved them. Can remember seeing them live and they were as good as their records which wasn't always the case with other bands. Must watch the programme.

I remember seeing them at one of the Beatles concerts at Hammersmith Odeon. The girl sitting behind me just yelled "Keith! Keith!" the whole time they were playing. I wasn't allowed to go to places like the Crawdaddy, but I had all the records.

I need to rewatch it on Friday. It said on Wikipedia that they fired Jeff Beck but I’m sure that, in the programme, he left because he was fed up of the touring. Yes, Keith was gorgeous.

The YouTube clip of 'For Your Love' shows that they were way ahead of their time in the promotion game even if it was black and white.

Weren't we lucky to have so much access to great groups? Lots of the concerts I went to had about 6 different acts on the programme and I paid for them out of my babysitting earnings.
