Anyone else finding the Irish accent of Paddy really hard to listen to. It sounds so false to me and along with his facial gestures I am not sure I can continue to watch. 🫣

He's not a good actor.
His accent is dodgy and his general tone and voice just so monotonous.
It's on because DH is watching but I can't say I am.

Every time I suggest clearing a small room where I can put an armchair, music player ad a small TV (plus my craft stuff) he gets upset and thinks I don't want to sit with him.

Rant over!
We just don't like the same programmes, that's all.

Love the series and the accent.
We binge watched the 6 episodes. No problem understanding the accent.

I can understand it but it's not good.

I don’t have an issue with the accent but finding the series monotonous.

Mr C watched and enjoyed it, I read my book. Not my thing at all.

I think his accent deserves the Jim Mcdonald award lol

I wasn't keen on watching it but quite enjoying it now, although rather gruesome

I enjoyed every minute, as did Mr J. We hadn't watched the 1st series so binge watched both series over 4 nights. One or two over the top story lines, otherwise very enjoyable. No problem with Paddy Maine's accent.

We really enjoyed the first episode and will watch the rest, btw, MrJ is Irish born and bred, no problem with accents.

My family come from Newtownards and his accent isn't like any I've heard there. I do like the programme regardless.

Allira I sit in the lounge with my OH when he is watching some cr*p ; and I watch whatever I want to watch on my iPad, with earphones in and my knitting. Or even listening to a podcast. That way he has "company".

😀

Good idea!

Still watching, although slightly tongue in cheek the interspersing with stills of actual events give a modicum of gravitas.
I’ll watch to the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first series. But episode 1 of series 2 was dreadful. Very disappointing.
