Nothing much on last night, so I watched the first two episodes of this.

Wasn’t expecting it to be much, but I soon got into it.

Starring Joanne Froggatt, not keen on her character, but liked the English policeman. (It was set in Sydney).

It’s on Saturday night, ITVX.

I gave it another whirl but still cannot warm to Joanna Frogatt!
I don't like her acting style, her face, her voice, everthing really!
So as per usual, if I can't find anything worth watching, I'll return to repeats of 'Vera' on ITVX as it's still the best thing on the box currently & also for the past year. 😏

Good twist in last episode, wasn't expecting that.

North Shore. Beautiful part of the world

Susieq62 Thu 09-Jan-25 16:37:23

Liked it because it took me back to Sydney where I lived 1974-5
Came home, silly me.
Thought the acting , apart from the English detective, was mediocre but I shall persevere

I saw this programme listed & got excited but then realised that Joanne Froggart was taking a lead role. I actually cannot stand her as an actress. She has the charisma of stuffed squirrel. 😬

She is quite low key in this series.. it's worth watching for the dynamics between the UK policeman and the Australian police..

Totally agree!

Sparklefizz

I've finished it and really got into it and enjoyed it.
It ends on a cliff hanger. Please let there be series 2 as I want to know what happens.

Ditto! I enjoyed it immensely too.
BUT I do so hate these cliff hanger endings! Watched Dune Part one a few years ago and in order to watch the recent Dune Part 2 I had to watch the first film all over again as I had forgotten a lot of it…now I discover after yet another cliff hanger there is to be a Part 3!!!!

Shirleyw Wed 08-Jan-25 20:54:52

Yes, I liked it too, would be good if their will be a series 2.

Marmight Wed 08-Jan-25 19:57:37

Never heard of this series. Must watch. I’m currently staying with DD on the Northern Beaches just round from North Shore so very apt!
