It was an absolute joy. Such beautiful gardens. Shame they have to fit so many in there is no time to linger.

Birkhall looks like it could do with a coat of paint though. 😮

Thoroughly enjoyed this tonight - might be a bit biased as I live in the north of Scotland and have visited the gardens highlighted in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverewe which I have visited many times. I particularly enjoyed Birkhall as it is not usually in the public eye and have visited Inverewe many times.

George Harrison's garden next week if anyone is interested. I certainly am!

Me too. I love this series

We visited Biddulph Grange where Monty was tonight. A fascinating place.

Thanks so much, I so loved George Harrison and know that he was obsessed with creating so much beauty around him. Anyone who would have the gardens floodlit, so that he could work through the night perfecting his dream must get the Monty Don vote. Dhani has said that he was often allowed to creep out and help his Father at night, which encouraged and taught him about growing plants and creating a lifelong interest in the designs for Friar Park. He continues to plan and replant to this day in his Father's memory.

I'm afraid I'm obsessed with George. blush

No sorry, saw him first. 🥰

Really enjoyed it!

No Grandmafrench that really won't do. It was me that saw him first. I have had a chat with him (well he chatted, I gawped). I have a photo of me sitting behind him and the other Beatles on stage. Perhaps you could choose another Beatle.....grin

Grandmafrench Sat 25-Jan-25 00:24:03

There is no other Beatle.
Come on, I'm trying to be reasonable here, but it's not working........
I've loved him since I sat at his feet and he kept smiling and winking at me until I responded.
I think you have to give me a date for the photograph and if we can't agree who saw him first, then suppose we'll have to share.

I'm off to bed now (which does not make you the winner) 🙋‍♀️
