I love watching ice skating so feel pleased that a new series of Dancing on Ice starts tomorrow, Sunday 12th. Will anyone else be watching?

I read this morning that Jane and Chris will be hanging up their skates for good shortly.

I don't know many of their names, clebs or pros.
3 of the clebs I know.

Thanks Sparkle . I have just seen a news item online that Pro Skater Vanessa Bauer has quit this series as of a few hours ago with an injury.
Her Celeb partner is Chris Taylor.

I'll be watching.
There a couple of people who I feel are going to give Michaela a run for her money.

Dancing on Ice at 6.30pm tonight.
It's not a theme night TillyTrotter but couples are dancing to music that means something special to the celeb (according to my TV guide)

I agree with you Charleygirl ,
just 24 hrs to find out who is the next to leave.
Will it be a Theme night does anyone know?

I thought it was going down the path of Strictly with two trying to make mugs. It is also a personality contest rather than the best skater now we do not have a skate-off.

I felt Steve was pushed and prodded, and I agreed with Chris he needed to do some skating.

For his safety he should depart next week.

Catch up?

gillgran Sun 26-Jan-25 21:10:29

I need to catch up!!
I received an important family phone call, so missed all the results of DOI. !!! What's happened? confused
Now I've missed Call the Midwife. !!!!

I expected noone would leave tonight as the injured Comedian left the comp.

How unfair!!

TillyTrotter Sun 26-Jan-25 19:45:50

I enjoyed Anton Ferdinand’s routine.

TillyTrotter Sun 26-Jan-25 19:45:11

It’s all down to public vote tonight so it will be who’s popular not necessarily who’s the best skater.
However Steve has to be in the danger zone.

Sparklefizz Sun 26-Jan-25 19:38:57

I won't be voting for him either and I hope he goes out tonight because he is by far the worst skater, and I am nervous he will fall over all the time he's on the ice. It won't be kind to keep him in the competition.

Oh dear. I feel embarrassed fpr Sir Steve. I don't know why he is putting himself through this.

He did look uncomfortable, didn't he? I expect he'll be relieved to be going out tonight, ( unless his fans vote to keep him).
Much as we admired him for his rowing achievements, I won't be voting for him.

Hello Gill

Oh yes! Watching & enjoying, as usual.

Is anyone else watching?

Sparklefizz Sun 26-Jan-25 18:46:06

Michaela and Mark's routine was so elegant and graceful - really lovely.

Sparklefizz Sun 26-Jan-25 18:31:07

Dan looking good as James Bond.

MissAdventure Mon 20-Jan-25 09:56:40

The girl that broke her wrist - I was expecting her to be able to skate alone, at least for a few seconds, but she didn't.

She scored 7.5 or something, though!

I'm glad Steve was saved. A real non skater. Tried his best.

MissAdventure Mon 20-Jan-25 09:46:11

Oh, his shorts! grin

Charleygirl5 Mon 20-Jan-25 09:36:03

I fell asleep after watching Steve Redgrave and was surprised he received the public votes because he skated as I used to but I was about 12 at the time.

I only "know" him and Sam from Coronation Street. The pro skaters are very good.

MissAdventure Sun 19-Jan-25 22:09:16

I get a bit cross with the female clebs, just being lifted about and scoring well.

I thought the towie bloke certainly had "it".
Very graceful.
