Oh you're definitely not alone, op. We used to love it! I'll be interested to see what the new one is like, it will be difficult not to compare I suppose, still looking forward to it though.

After all the hype, I'm surprised it's on U.
Not sure if I watched many in the past? I just know he was a Policeman in a sports car no idea of the back story.

U does have a few hidden treasures, I liked the Chelsea Detective.

I must be the only GN that enjoyed watching Bergerac! ha ha. Watched another this afternoon. You definitely do not see many if any, John Nettles around!

A new rebooted Bergerac is due to be shown on U. I have been watching the old ones! My goodness they were so good! Even now, years later. Just had a peek at the new version. It doesn't look anywhere near as good IMO but will certainly give it a go. You can not beat John Nettles!!!!! Remember Phillipa Vale? Brilliant pairing. I find it hard to watch Mary in Emmerdale. Reminds me of all the years that have passed. she played Susan.
