Absolutely love this drama and Kevin Costner is helping with my dental recovery.. he looks rugged but still handsome IMO and the whole family cast is amazing…
Have decided to watch from season 1 as can’t remember all the story lines.. know it’s a bit brutal in parts but full of action and drama…

Totally agree Bea65, watching season 5 part one, have absolutely loved it, great story and great actors, beautiful scenery too.
Looking forward to watching the two spin offs, 1883 and 1923.
Harrison Ford is in 1923.

Brought the Blue Ray for season 5.

I loved it too and both the spin offs. I’ve not been able to see the second part of season 5 sadly. I read that as they won’t be making anymore as Kevin Costner has declined, they may make it more about Rip and Beth wether it will be renamed I’m not sure. I hope so.

I hope so too, Rip and Beth are great... She is so sassy😂

I didn’t rate 1923. There’s an American actress attempting a British accent that drives me nuts. She’s so awful. I try to ignore the accent but I can’t.Which is a pity as Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are, as we would expect of them, excellent. I’ve got the dvd of 1883 which is supposed to be very good but I’m just finishing off series 8 of Vikings. I do like Yellowstone. I like that actress that’s in Yellowstone. Kelly something or other. She was in Britannia, too.

I think Yellowstone is on Ch5 catchup.

I think Yellowstone is on Ch5 catchup.

Really.. don’t think so .. maybe some other program called something similar. Would love you to confirm🙅🏻‍♀️

I was watching it last year and I don't subscribe to Amazon or Netflix or anything like that. It's why I bought 1923 and 1883 dvd's. Don't know if it's still on, though. I'll check up on all my catchup tv in a bit when I go downstairs.

No i just checked Channel 5 its not on there.

I've just trawled through another forum that I'm on in which we were chatting about Yellowstone and I did watch it on Ch 5 but it was in August 2023! I thought it was just a few months ago! Where does the time go! It probably only showed the first couple of series.

One of the best series ever. Absolutely loved it.

Yes now know what you’re saying.. believe Channel 5 showed series 1 sometime in 2023… but no more than that… I’ve thought about buying the DVDs but haven’t got around to it😊
Agree time is speeding up .. can’t believe its 1 Feb 2025😱

I’ve got a backlog of DVD’s to watch plus series on various catch-ups. I’ve just finished watching the last series of Vikings. Unlike Game of Thrones it remained true to itself and the ending was perfection. I never enjoyed it as much as GOT’s and it just filled in the gaps between new series of GOT’s but it’s attention to detail was second to none and it was a Labour of love for it’s writer and founder. I can start on 1883 now. There’s another series, American Primeval that looks very good, too ( very Revenant like…).

I will try yellowstone. I haven't watched vikings either

I watched all the harlen coben series (mainly I think) which I found pretty good. I'm on unbelievable atm as I like toni Colette

MayBee70 Sat 01-Feb-25 14:37:51

I wouldn’t recommend Vikings to anyone that didn’t have an interest in that period of history. I found it very heavy going at times.

JaneJudge Sat 01-Feb-25 19:25:00

Okay 👍

Bea65 Sun 02-Feb-25 10:31:07

I loved Vikings too and believe I learned a lot of history from watching it🙏

MayBee70 Sun 02-Feb-25 12:36:08

Even up to the last episode I’d watch something in it and think it was made up only to either Wikipedia it or listen to a commentary and find it was historically accurate. Unlike GOT’s, which I have never rewatched after the disappointing ending, I’ll probably rewatch Vikings. I never liked Ivar’s character (not that he was meant to be liked) but, now I’ve watched more of it I think the actor playing him is very good.

Beth -Kelly Reilly is soo sassy love her -great actor and Rip - Cole Hauser is also ruggedly handsome with a gentle soul - hope they make it🤞

MayBee70 Sun 02-Feb-25 15:13:47

I think I’ve got a bit of a girl crush on Kelly Reilly. I loved her in Britannia. I so want to be like her!

Nanicky Sun 02-Feb-25 17:28:00

Yes MayBee70, I keep saying to myself, Be more Beth😂 if only.
I hope they make it too Bea65.🤞
