I listened to the story on another shameful coverup in our country.
It’s called Toxic Town. The story of toxic waste being dumped in Corby resulting in babies being born with disabilities 😡

I’ve just watched this- an excellent dramatisation, but horrifying too.
Utterly shameful.

I watched it on BBC...

Yes, we saw that the other night. Shocking case but so good they triumphed in the end.

What amazed me was I'd never heard of it. I was in my 30s at the time with young children but I always kept up with what was going on in the world. We got newspapers, always watched the news, used to look at Teletext. No memory of it at all.

Definitely worth watching

There is a documentary on BBC which is equally worth watching, but the dramatisation is on Netflix.

I’ve just finished watching the ‘Toxic Town’ series about Corby on Netflix, which was so well portrayed by excellent actors. Frightening to know that these toxic waste sites have housing estates, shops, restaurants and schools built on them.

Yes, it was shocking. That's why we need strong public sector officers who can stand up to politicians. It was like Erin Brockovich. Looking at the USA where thy are busy firing all these gatekeepers.

Shocked after watching the first episode. We will watch more.
I am further shocked that I have never heard of this before.

I found it informative and chilling. I remember seeing a documentary about it but the netflix version really brought the story alive.

I cannot believe how naive many people seem to be. We do not know one-hundredth of what goes on in this country. Politicians and businessmen are very adept at concealing truths so enabling them to line their own pockets.

I saw some of the real mothers and one actor on This Morning yesterday. It was a shocking story. I shall be watching the drama soon.

Watched it all it was brilliant bit like a lot of others I had never heard about it and I'm in my early seventies

Shockingly brilliant. Actors portrayed the real-life heroes of this so well.

Really good drama but shocking and so sad. I bet it's not the only town that this has happened to either. Was very eye opening.

Worth watching the BBC documentary too.

As others have said, shocking and an eye opener! It's a really good dramatisation.
