I binge watched it today and it's brilliant. Marvellous performance, as always, from Stephen Graham, and a great young lad actor.

The young boy is brilliant.

Well, That was superb acting. Excellent drama but harrowing especially the last five minutes of Ep.1. Gripping stuff.
I shall watch another episode tomorrow.

I like the look of this. I do like Stephen Graham - he's very under-rated as an actor.

I wouldn’t say he is underrated, he has received 7 awards and 14 nominations from various organizations according to Wikipedia.

I know that, but I don't think he is as widely known as he might be, that's all. I think he's one of those actors whose face is recognised, but not always the name.

I’m about to watch an episode this evening. Himself has Man. Utd in t’other room. 😁

I’ve watched two episodes and am going to take a break as it is very emotional and heartbreaking to watch. I will resume tomorrow. I did notice that one of the producers is Brad Pitt, well done to him.

We don’t have Netflix so won’t be able to watch what I think will be a powerful film about some young men in todays world.

I've just watched the first two episodes and had to stop myself from continuing to the end as I know I will kick myself if I binge the whole thing.

Excellent so far.

That's my evening sorted, thank you. 🙂

I've just finished watching the whole thing.

It is (of course, given that it's Stephen Graham) very well acted, and doesn't push an agenda at the viewer.

It's not an easy watch, although nothing gruesome is shown. I recommend it.

I've just read about this and thought it looked promising.

Evening's viewing sorted

I know for sure I’m going to cry. It’s billed as a very powerful and emotional drama.

I am watching the first episode. As every drama starring Stephen Graham it is first class drama, very powerful and emotional. Our only grandson is nearly 15 so it is very relevant to us.

Starts today. I can’t wait to watch this drama.
The reviews are fantastic!

“If you’re a parent to a school-age boy, I don’t know whether I should advise you to watch Adolescence (Netflix) immediately, or avoid it at all costs because it will chill your blood. It is a drama so quietly devastating that I won’t forget it for a very long time.

A 13-year-old boy in Yorkshire is arrested on suspicion of murder. The victim is a girl at his school, stabbed to death the night before. Police batter down his door in a dawn raid, and his shell shocked parents – dad Eddie (Stephen Graham) and mum Manda (Christine Tremarco) – follow him to the police station. “Do you believe me that I’ve not done anything?” the boy, Jamie, desperately asks his dad. “Of course I believe you,” says Eddie. “You’re my son, aren’t you?”

This does not play out as a crime thriller. Nor is it a police procedural, although the first episode very much goes into details of what happens when a minor is arrested for a serious crime (the mug shots, the medical examination, the strip search). It’s not really about knife crime. Rather, it’s an exploration of the pressures on boys today, including the malign influence of social media and some of the nonsense about what it means to be a man. Bullying isn’t new, but being mocked online is a modern horror. And parents, in many cases, are oblivious.”
