Just seen the start of the new season. A lovely tribute to Jim.

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Apr-25 06:36:54

There's a nice memorial for Jim on it. George from Joppa is still on it. It's on a Thursday in Scotland

No, he is still there, I checked when Floradora9 said that. He is in tomorrow’s episode. He’s a mine of information.

25Avalon Thu 03-Apr-25 22:32:34

Has George gone completely this series then?

Floradora9 Thu 03-Apr-25 21:34:35

But it is not the same without George and Jim . They are really missed.

Yippee - I love Beechgrove!

Gwenisgreat1

The site is in Aberdeen and DH and I visited it when we lived there. I don't think it is Broadcast in England

It is Gwen as I said in the OP, on a different day from Scotland

I garden on the south coast so I enjoy seeing the difference in the way gardeners featured on Beechgrove work with a more northerly climate and soil conditions.

It’s very informative.

Grandmabatty Wed 02-Apr-25 21:15:10

The weather and planting calender is more appropriate and accurate for me. I'm a fan of Beechgrove. Thanks for the heads up

I like Beechgrove. It’s very informative but I struggle with some of the accents. They would probably struggle with mine too.

Rose65 Wed 02-Apr-25 18:25:51

Thanks for the heads up. I love the programme.

merlotgran Wed 02-Apr-25 18:18:11

Looking forward to it.

Casdon Wed 02-Apr-25 16:05:25

That’s good news - I particularly like George in sunny Joppa.

25Avalon Wed 02-Apr-25 16:01:16

Thanks for info. We love Beechgrove. It’s one of the best gardening programmes. You can watch previous ones if you have missed them.

silverlining48 Wed 02-Apr-25 16:00:09

I like Beechgrove, well worth a watch. Taught me a lot.

Jaxjacky Wed 02-Apr-25 15:55:14

Sorry NotSpaghetti I stupidly assumed it was known, maybe I should have put it in gardening. It’s a new series of a generally well liked programme, down to earth 🙂, the site is in Scotland.

NotSpaghetti Wed 02-Apr-25 15:23:12

Oh OK. Thanks aggie

NotSpaghetti Wed 02-Apr-25 15:22:45

I mean is it a new series - or a second/third series of something that's just newly released?

aggie Wed 02-Apr-25 15:22:45

Best gardening programme ever !

NotSpaghetti Wed 02-Apr-25 15:21:30

What about it?
Is it new?

Jaxjacky Wed 02-Apr-25 15:10:31

New series starts Friday 4th April, BBC2, 7pm
