Oh I loved Howard's Way back in the day.
Saw a clip on YouTube (I think) recently and gosh, was it dreadful.
Jan Harvey owned some posh boutique selling nautical clothes (naturally) and her mother kept popping in & out giving her opinion.

Take me home was filmed in Telford where we live there was a lot of excitement here at the time and we were trying to identify where the scenes were shot..

I remember it too and Howard’s Way.

My favourite programmes were Shabby Tiger, When The Boat Comes In and Love for Lydia. I found them all recently and how disappointed I was this time around! Sound was terrible, acting very wooden and background music awful yet at the time (70s) I adored them all.

I re-watched Howards’ Way when it came on the Drama channel I think, last year.

OMG!

The clothes, the hairstyles, smarmy Ken Masters, the ridiculous plots!

But we were glued on a Sunday night.

I'm racking my brains to remember McKenzie, maybe it was one I didn't watch but do remember Bouquet of Barbed Wire, glued to it, I was What about Howard's Way for clunky,?that made my Sunday evenings way back in the time of shoulder pads.

I really like McKenzie. After it was broadcast, I found out that Jack Galloway’s wife was someone who I chatted to at our Mums and Toddlers group. Our little lads played together!
I don’t recall anything else he was in.

Yes, I do remember it.

Same sort of vibe as the original ‘Bouquet Of Barbed Wire’ which was very racy at the time.

Does anyone remember ‘McKenzie’, late 70’s? Starring Jack Galloway, rather attractive and having various affairs if I remember rightly.

They would all appear ‘clunky’ nowadays, perhaps we were easier to please back then?
