I’m feeling mixed about this latest series. I agree with others who think that there’s rather a lot of chat during the performances. I liked Lang Lang, too, and think it’s a shame he’s not doing this series. I suppose he must be busy with other things.

Surprised at the amount of singing tonight when it's supposed to be about playing the Piano. Plus of course the trumpet player!!!🤔🤔

Just caught up with episode 2. I’m really not keen on Jon Batiste either. Come back Lang lang.

Totally agree Gin, Jon Batiste is spoiling this series for me and the overall standard so far isn't as good.

I love this programme, but really miss Lang Lang.

I get the impression Jon Batiste is driving Mica up the wall, never mind anyone else. But I love the programme and am so amazed by the talent out there! It transcends every barrier imaginable.

Very disappointed. The standard is much lower than previous series I feel. Do not like Jon, much prefer Lang Lang a musician not an exhibitionist

I haven’t a clue who Jean Batiste is and I’m quite happy to leave it that way.

I love it, what a chance for show casing pianists. As for Jean Batiste and Mica at least I know of them as a mere pleb Lang Lang was off my radar.

I think the "talking over "is no bad thing in some cases

I was a big fan of Lang Lang, such a wonderful pianist. Am not watching this series I’m afraid.

Watching it now on Ch 4+1. I find it incredibly inspirational and moving, such amazing talent and back stories to some of the pianists.

Another fan here. Love it.

Me too LadyGracie, they didn't do this with the first series and it annoyed me with the second so disappointed it's happening again.

I wish we could hear more of the music being played and less talk.
