I agree that the new presenter seems more interested in finding a performer rather than an excellent pianist which is what I thought was the point of the program. It is not the X Factor or the like.

Oh yes I agree and thought exactly the same this week. It's nice to have a bit of a back story but not when they become more important than the piano playing.

And I really am trying to like the new judge but I thought Lang Lang was perfect for the job and it seems such a wildly different type of person to put in his shoes.

I didn't need the time wasting of Claudia buying biscuits and sweets!

I've loved the previous series of this show but for some reason I'm not as enamoured with the current offering. There seems to be more talking over the pieces and lots of singers accompanying themselves. Nothing intrinsically wrong but I feel that the focus has moved. They're all extremely talented though and I loved the young chap that won. I can't be the only one feeling like this?
