Do you know I m not so sure I used to live with a Middle Eastern guy and he was used in a very ad hock basis by the police to interpret I certainly don’t remember any in depth checks before however that was a good while back maybe it’s different today but I agree it did seem very casual

Agree with Charleygirl and cornergran about the very casual recruitment process. Am sure it wouldn’t happen like that in real life, (well, I hope not!)

Plus not at all professional just dashing off to attend the flat meeting in the middle of her work.

Would have expected the official lip readers to have been brought in when available for such an important case, not relying on a ‘casual’.

Mr C found it more interesting than I did as I couldn’t believe the casual nature of the recruitment process. We’ll carry on watching.

I’m watching and not keen on police dramas but so far so good.

I agree that it is very watchable, provided one can forget that the police force would not choose a local kitchen helper to act as a lip reader for them without doing many checks first. It is different.

The second episode is tomorrow evening.

We enjoyed it. Though the silent adverts caught us out, with DH accusing me of turning the volume down until we realised what was going on. smile

We enjoyed it too. So far it seems a cut above the usual police crime dramas.

There are six episodes apparently, so I hope the high standard continues.

A good first episode. Rose Ayling-Ellis is a great actress.

I enjoyed that first episode and thought it was going to head up to a good series looking forward to number 2 tomorrow evening

Very good, all the adverts are silent, most with subtitles, emphasising deafness.
